QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

- B.Sc Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum engineering experience of 3 years
- Minimum engineering experience in a design office of 1-2 years
- Detailed knowledge and experience of working with High Voltage Technology
- Knowledge and experience of safety principles in design
- Experience in conceptual design, detailed electrical wiring design and physical layouts
- Experience in development of specifications
- Experience of installation and construction practices on site
- A good command of written and spoken English with excellent communication and interpersonal skills is essential
- Good IT skills
- Self-motivation and ability to project manage own work and co-ordinate those working with him/her
- Ability to work and share knowledge and competencies within a team structure
- Proven track record of delivery of projects on time and to the highest technical standards
- Interested in developing a technical career path
- Ability to make quality decisions and judgments
- A logical approach to problem solving
- Flexibility which is important in all aspects of the role, including travel nationally and internationally
- Strong report writing capability
- Willing to relocate to Dublin/Ireland
İŞ TANIMI
- Preparing / reviewing technical specifications for transformers, switchgear, & protection scheme.
- Preparing new standard designs, including protection scheme designs.
- Ensuring full co-ordination of all aspects of the project – civil, electrical, control
- system, telecoms etc. to target timelines and to highest quality standards
- Reviewing supplier designs and drawings.
- Creating and updating material specifications across a range of different types of material
- Evaluating tenders for material supply
- Investigating electrical faults
- Performing material inspections for compliance, including acceptance testing at site or factory.
- Performing quality audits on supplier manufacturing plants
- Developing internal systems of work.
- Communicating with clients on requirements, scope and progress
- Interfacing with suppliers, asset managers and project teams
- Production of electrical control and protection schematics using detailed design applications such as EPlan
- Production of physical substation layouts, with strong understanding of electrical clearances, design considerations
