PART TIME TRANSLATOR (ENGLISH & ITALIAN LANGUAGES)

We're looking for a “Part Time Translator / English to Italian & Italian to English) with following qualifications to work in our company located in Çatalca.

• University degree in related fields (Translation Studies, English or Italian Language and Literature)
• Excellent command of both written and spoken English & Italian
• Min. 2 years experience, preferably International experience (work and study programs)
• Proactive, self-disciplined and open-minded personality, ability and willingness to learn
• Excellent time management with strong follow-up
• Strong sense of urgency and efficiency in completing tasks, careful and detail oriented
• Preferably living at the Europen side of Istanbul

İŞ TANIMI

• Reading through original material and rewriting it in the target language, ensuring that the meaning of the source text is retained
• Using specialist dictionaries, thesauruses and reference books to find the closest equivalents for terminology and words used
• Researching legal, technical and scientific phraseology to find the correct translation
• Liaising with the relevant department to discuss any unclear points
• Proofreading and editing final translated versions
• Providing to the relevant department with a grammatically correct, well-expressed final version of the translated text, usually as a word-processed document
• Using the internet and email as research tools throughout the translation process
• Prioritizing work to meet deadlines
• Consulting with experts in specialist areas
• Retaining and developing knowledge on specialist areas of translation
