GENEL NİTELİKLER VE İŞ TANIMI

Purpose of Job

The International Professionals Programme (IPP) is a focused, intensive 23 month graduate programme that will prepare you for a career in international development and banking.

During the programme, participants rotate through three assignments: one in Banking, one in Risk management and one in a Resident Office in one of our countries of operation.

Throughout the programme, participants undertake a tailored training plan which encompasses in-depth technical training on core skills required for the job as well as personal and business skills development. Participants are supported by an HR Business partner who manages the programme overall, a senior mentor who provides individual formal management supports throughout the programme, as well as secondary supervisors / line managers assigned to provide on-the-job training, guidance, help with the management of the workload etc. during the rotations. Networking and collaboration between the programme members is also encouraged.

Participation in the programme will be 23 months in duration under a short term contract. The programnme starts in November 2015. At the end of the programme, high performing participants will be fully trained as banking analysts and be eligible and encouraged to apply for analysts positions at the Bank, in any of the Bank’s locations. There is an expectation that you’ll join one of the Bank’s Resident offices within 12 months of completion of the IPP.

Background

The Project life-cycle involves several stages from origination to signing, followed by implementation and monitoring until full completion and repayment or exit. All the stages involve different tasks such as business marketing, project due diligence analysis, structuring and approval, negotiation and signing of project agreements, disbursement and monitoring.

The role of the IPP Analyst is to contribute, as a project team member, to the structuring, implementation and monitoring of debt and equity transactions, and their effective implementation and monitoring in line with the Bank’s operational objectives. Under the guidance of their manager, the IPP Analyst performs tasks assigned to him/her and provides support to the project team throughout the project cycle, with a particular emphasis on research, data gathering, credit analysis and financial modelling.

Typically:

·         Contribute as a project team member to the execution, implementation and monitoring of a number of projects each year;

·         Carry out other relevant tasks assigned by more senior members of the project team or more senior bankers;

·         Under the guidance of their manager, communicate with other internal units in the Bank, client counterparts and other stakeholders;

·         No budgetary responsibility;

·         No direct reports.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities

Under the guidance of their manager, with training:

1.    Structuring and Execution

  • Work as a project team member on transactions, contributing to all aspects of project structuring and execution, including comprehensive research and analysis of background materials, market information and financial performance data; analyse and evaluate potential risks related to the proposed project, including analysis of financial statements, building and updating financial models and financial projections;
  • Assist with the designing and processing of technical co-operation assistance, including preparation of terms of reference and internal approval documentation, to support the  related investment project or the related policy dialogue initiative;
  • As may be requested, assist with communication with other internal units of the Bank, clients and other stakeholders, at the operational level, such as preparing draft correspondence, presentations, and following up on internal emails;
  • Ensure that all assigned tasks are completed within the specified time frames to a high quality and in line with the policies, procedures and objectives of the Bank.

2.    Portfolio Monitoring, Value Creation and Reporting

  • As requested by the team sponsor, undertake assigned tasks relating to the implementation and monitoring of projects as part of the project team, including compliance with project agreements and Bank procedures related to disbursement, monitoring of progress of the project and financial performance of the client, assessing evolving risk factors and monitoring and assessing covenant compliance;
  • As requested by the team sponsor, prepare timely and comprehensive draft monitoring reports and include recommendations for corrective actions where required and ensure these corrective actions and recommendations are brought to the attention of more senior team members;

 

The responsibilities of the IPP Analyst are designed to allow the IPP Analyst to progressively undertake more complex tasks and build the scope of responsibilities based on acquired experience and expertise.



İŞ TANIMI

Qualifications and Skills

 

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Banking, Economics or Business Administration preferred. Alternatively a Bachelor’s in one of these, coupled of with a Master’s degree in a discipline relevant to EBRD’s work.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English. (If you are not a native English speaker, if shortlisted you will be required to provide an IELTS or TOEFL certificate demonstrating your English score. We will accept certificates dating from any time in the past.
  • Quantitative/numerical skills are critical with the ability to interpret financial information and to design and use financial models a strong advantage.
  • Credit analysis skills, with the ability to interpret accounts, understanding local and international accounting principles and practice of credit analysis.
  • Basic financial modelling skills will be an advantage.
  • Fluency in a language of our country of operations an advantage, especially Russian and Arabic.
  • Evidence of outstanding academic achievements.
  • Experience working, studying or living in one of the EBRD regions of operations would be an advantage.
  • Some relevant financial industry experience from an investment or commercial bank, private equity firm, asset management firm, or auditing/financial consulting firm operating to international standards will be an advantage but not essential. As this is a graduate programme we would not expect applicants to have more than a year of experience.
  • Computer literacy, conversant with Microsoft Office and spread sheet packages
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member, to deadlines and under time pressure.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new departments as part of the rotations of the programme.

Motivation
