Category Specialist” is is to optimize the performance of the product portfolio within the unique nature of our direct selling channel.
- University graduate in marketing, management or economy
- Minimum 2 years experience in category management field in cosmetic or retail industry
- Good knowledge of both spoken & written English
- Software skills: Microsoft office
- Strong communication skills, good team player
- Analytical
- Ambitious, pro-active, achievement oriented
- Organized and structured, strong focus on deadlines
- Ability to work in a multicultural company and build coalitions across the company.

İŞ TANIMI
The position reports to Category Manager:
- Review overall category portfolio and mix performance.
- Make recommendations on, under/over exploited products and potential discontinues.
- Evaluate current product portfolio and planned new product introductions and highlight potential discontinuations.
- Review category product line versus main competition to identify gaps and potential new product requirements.
- Evaluate future new product introductions and positioning within the current offering.
- Analyse and interprete external and internal data, identify gaps and highlight potential opportunities/risks
- Define category strategy by low, mid, upper mass segments.
- Highlight key brands and concepts within the category and the support required to drive growth.
- Plan key resources to support brands. (space, printed materials, scratch & sniff, sampling etc.)
- Analyse and determine expected category sales, units and margin contributions from new product launches, key brands and concepts
- Model growth scenarios to help define long term category and key brand growth objectives
- Work with global product management teams to determine correct positioning of new product launches.
- Give input to global on new product development plans.
- Develop full support plans for Mega and Super launches and develop materials to inform/engage consultants/customers inline with the local requirements, determine sampling strategy
- Find creative ways of engaging consultants about the plans related with new product launches, as well as to support key categories/brands.
- Attend and be an active participant in the annual/quarterly planning meetings.
- Review catalogue layouts as and give brand related input.
- Ensure positioning, support plans and communications are inline with and support the overall company’s brand positioning.
