Data Governance Specialist

• BS in Computer Engineering, Informatics, MIS, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics Engineering or related fields,
• Proven knowledge and hands-on experience in one or more data management frameworks like DAMA, MIKE2 and BRSA and BASEL regulations about data management
• Previous experience working in data centric projects
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment with changing priorities
• High energetic and innovative individual who is motivated by challenging assignments
• Excellent communication skills of oral and written
• Effective at managing multiple issues with conflicting priorities under tight deadlines
• For male candidates, military service should be completed
• Good facilitation skills and experience working with a broad set of stakeholders/partners in Business and IT
• Project management experience in the Financial Services industry preferred (but not a requisite)
• Strong verbal and written English skills

İŞ TANIMI

• Create and update Data Governance policies, procedures and standards which will comply with frameworks such as DAMA and MIKE2, and local and global regulations and group policies and standards
• Track updates of BRSA regulations and ING Global standards, if required force related parties to take actions.
• Liaise with key data governance roles such as Data Owners and Stewards identify Data Governance topics, provide consultancy about frameworks, policies and standards
• Work on collection and reporting of key Data Governance metrics
• Publish and maintain templates and documents related to Data Governance Risks, Actions, Issues and Decisions on an ongoing basis
• Work with data owners/stewards on creation of business dictionary, data quality rules, dashboards, etc.
• Perform data governance maturity assessments with data architects, data owners and IT custodians, create plans in areas which require improvement
• Work on creation of a communication plan for creation of sustainable awareness on data governance
• Set up meeting agendas, create meeting communication packs, document key meeting minutes and following up on key meeting actions of regular data governance forums and data council meetings.
