QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
ACWA Power is a developer, investor, co-owner and operator of a portfolio of power generation and desalinated water production plants currently with presence in 12 countries including in the Middle East and North Africa, Southern Africa and South East Asia regions. ACWA Power’s portfolio, with an investment value in excess of USD 32 billion, can generate 22.5 GW of power and produce 2.5 million m3 /day of desalinated water to be delivered on a bulk basis to state utilities and industrial majors on long term off-take contracts under Public-Private-Partnership, Concession and Utility Services Outsourcing models.

Technical Skills and Experience - 1-3 years of work experience in similar position
- Experience in time series modelling is a must
- Experience in volatility modeling and forecasting is a plus
- Advance level knowledge of MS Office applications
- Experience in programming is a must (at least one of them C#, Matlab, T-SQL)
Soft Skills - Superior analytical, critical thinking and communication skills.
- Fluent in both English and Turkish
- Self starter, result oriented, utmost ethical standards
- Completed military service for male candidates
- Strong teamwork skills
İŞ TANIMI
The analyst will develop and maintain quantitative models to optimize commercial activities of the company. The successful candidate will optimize the existing assets based on electricity market dynamics for proper strategy. The analyst is expected to forecast electricity market fundamentals. The position reports to Commercial Optimization Manager.
Based on experience:
- Supports, develops and maintains thermal power plant optimization model
- Supports, develops and maintains electricity price forecasting models
- Supports, develops and maintains market and business risk models
- Supports, develops and implements hedging and trading strategies
- Manages market and business risks
- Monitors and controls front desk activities
- Pricing energy derivatives (options, swaps, weather derivatis etc.)
- Electricity market, position & financial reporting
- Assist to dispatch team in terms of daily DAM, BPM and intra-day transactions
- Turkish Electricity Market regulation analysis
- Daily electricity market reporting & position reporting
