QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

Honeywell Turkey is seeking a Project Application Engineer who will be responsible for assisting the Project Engineering Manager and Project Management Leader with the technical delivery of assigned projects using value engineering. He/She will be a part of the Process Solutions project team in Turkey and will be located in İstanbul.
* Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical&Electronics Engineering, Automation&Control Engineering
* Excellent computer skills
* Previous experience working with highly complex technical solutions
* Knowledge of networking, database technology and trends in ITT would be highly advantageous
* Proven track record in a project engineering capacity involved in the delivery of technology based projects
* Previous exposure to a site base, construction environment
* Completion of projects with Honeywell based systems.
* Competency in DCS, SCADA, PLC
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* 3-5 years experience in control projects, with extensive on-site knowledge
* Good English language skills
* Ability to plan and schedule large projects
* Self starting, able to work with a minimum of supervision
* Willing to develop extensive product knowledge in formal training, and in “on the job” environments, working with latest Honeywell technology
* Able to work cooperatively and provide technical direction in a team environment
* Commitment to customer satisfaction
* Excellent communication - both verbal and written
* Self-motivated
* The ability to work under pressure
* A strong commitment to safety and a safe working environment
* Capacity to deliver against multiple objectives
* Ability to identify technical solutions to customers’ business needs
* Willing to relocate to İzmir (after 3-6 months of training in Istanbul)
To implement standard engineering solutions to successful completion and within budgeted time and cost constraints. May occasionally be required to work on customized engineering solutions.
• Ensures that required prerequisites (e.g. design inputs, tools, documentation, deliverables, schedule, and budget) are in place prior to commencing work.
• Produces part(s) of total functional design specifications under supervision.
• Produces technical design specifications
• Executes work assignment to appropriate standards and quality systems (Implementation, Test & Documentation)
• Coaches and supports assigned project application engineer(s) to ensure they are able to meet the requirements of their work assignments.
• Monitors and controls assigned work scope against the project plan.
• Effectively communicates with customers to fully define and agree project requirements.
• Proactively recommends potential quality and efficiency improvements within the engineering group
• Shares technical knowledge with project team, supervisor, own discipline and other engineering disciplines
• Reports progress and technical problems to project and engineering supervisor.
* Possess a comprehensive understanding of high end industrial process applications.
* Assessment of customer site for installation requirements, installation design.
* Develop software, perform testing if required and deliver commissioning package to field. Assist delivery in start up as required.
* Control systems design, implementation and documentation.
* Assist for commissioning start-up and checkout of systems on-site as well as project management.
* Definition of scope of project.
* Planning / scheduling of project execution.
* Consistent delivery of Exceptional Service Support solutions and innovation to customers.
* Expansion of business value within the market via delighted customer philosophies.
* Consistently exceeding customer expectation.
* Sales Assistance, involving innovative use of latest technology in establishing system design, and providing project estimates.
* Prepare submittals per engineering standards, ensuring commitment dates are met. Review submittals with sales and delivery teams and lead team to obtain submittal approval.
* Provide technical direction to project team members.
* Provide Technical Support to field technicians.
* Use Quality Assurance procedures and ensure defect-free hardware and software to field delivery team.
* Ensure applicable local and industry codes and standards are upheld.
* Ensures that Honeywell SOPs are adhered to.
