"Thermal Engineer"


and offering them the opportunity to work with state-of-art technologies and applications in a technology base located in Gebze, Kocaeli which is being established by TEI - Tusas Engine Industries, Inc. and General Electric Aviation, GEMTC (General Electric Marmara Technology Center)

The candidates are expected to have most of the skills, competencies and experience stated below: 

  • Master's in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and relevant experience with heat transfer, and thermal modeling and analysis.
  • Graduate course in Convection, Conduction and Radiation Heat Transfer.
  • 0-2 years experience with heat transfer and thermal fluids.
  • Proven academic achievement.
  • Excellent communication skills, Fluency in English (speaking, reading, writing).
  • High level of computer proficiency.
  • Experience in calculating flows and temperatures in support of product design and analysis.
  • Experience with analytical software such as Patran, CFX, ANSYS, Matlab, etc.
  • Experience with 1-D flow network code.
  • Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systems.
  • Demonstrated hands-on problem solving skills.
  • Proven leadership experience.
  • Customer and quality focus.
  • No military obligation for male candidates.


The Thermal Systems Design engineers apply detailed physics concepts and methods to model engine components and systems, which can involve the development and validation of fluid flow and heat transfer analytical models and tools, for overall engine system package optimization.
Essential responsibilities include design and analysis of thermal systems to support the development and testing of aircraft engines in the following areas:
  • Rotor thrust and rotor / stator heat transfer,
  • Secondary air / fluid system design,
  • Perform 1-D flow network calculations,
  • Develop and maintain Finite Element Analysis thermal models,
  • Support component and engine test programs and utilize the results to validate engine designs, systems, and analytical models and tools,
  • Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements,
  • Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments,
  • Participate in teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and generic issues,
  • Participate as a presenter in technical and program reviews,
  • Ensure proper documentation of technical data is generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
