QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
- Bachelor Degree in language and literature, or substantial working experience in Arabic-Turkish translation.
- Prior experience in working the children, youth, and refugees is an asset.
- Prior knowledge of Humanitarian Principles, Syrian Crisis in Turkey and refugees.
- Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
- Strong (self-) organizational skills and flexibility particularly in working hours.
- Ability to meet deadlines, and work under pressure
- Good knowledge of written and spoken Turkish and Arabic is a must.
- Kurdish and English is a good asset

Translator Duties and Responsibilities
- Work in close coordination with the Youth Activity Trainers/Recreational Activity Facilitators/Turkish Language Teachers and Life Skills Trainers any time translation is needed during the activities.
- Work with the Psychologist/Social Worker during counselling or evaluations when translation is needed.
- Welcome families and beneficiaries visiting the Centre and inform them about the Centre and its activities.
- Work in close coordination with the Centre Admin Assistant.
- Do written and verbal translations of the Centre whenever needed.
- Work in close coordination with the Centre Supervisor and the Senior Youth Programme Officer/the Senior Protection Officer/the Senior Education Officer
