QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an experienced site-based HSE Engineer for our Çetin Hydro Power Plant Project ( HPP ) which is located on the Botan river near Siirt and will have an installed capacity of 517 MW. The position will report to the HSE Manager. 

Main duties/tasks
 
  • Support HSE Manager to implement health & safety plans in accordance with 6331, Statkraft procedures & rules on site
  • Follow up and review contractors’ health and safety work; personal health and safety, certificates, storing of chemicals, safety of equipment and safety for personnel.
  • Support HSE Manager to ensure all relevant reporting from site team and contractors is gathered and reported in accordance with procedures
  • Participate in safety walks, health and safety introductions, employee training
  • Monitor and call attention to any threats to environment
Qualifications
 
  • University Degree preferably in Civil Engineering/ Environmental Engineering or related Safety qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of site experience in a similar position
  • Should  hold a minimum of a Class C HSE certification
  • Experience in dam and tunnel construction or other large infrastructure projects preferred
  • Minimum basic English required
  • Excellent team player
  • Easy to work with; flexible, adaptable and demonstrating initiative
  • Military service should be completed for male candidates
  • Able to live at site – accomodation, food and transport provided
