Software Engineer

We are looking for embedded software engineers to join our highly skilled software team in İstanbul, developing leading edge digital TV software for Set-Top Boxes (STBs) and integrated Digital Televisions (iDTVs).
Good technical degree in software engineering, computer science, electronics or related discipline, or proven experience.

Required Skills

Experience in commercial, embedded, software development. A deep understanding of a ‘constrained' target environment (small processor, limited memory, no virtual memory, etc.) is essential. Excellent C/C++. High technical competence. Good understanding of multitasking target systems and RTOSs. No military obligation for male candidates. Fluency in English. Experience of different targets - compilers, debuggers, OS's, etc.

Advantageous Skills

DVB experience a major advantage. Experience of Platform Integration. Embedded GUI development in C++. Aware of Agile / eXtreme Programming (XP) methods. Other scripting / tools skills useful (Python, Make, CVS)

General Characteristics

Strong team player - very collaborative, open, and approachable. Good communicator / excellent listener / clear and articulate. Shows initiative: able to work unsupervised; aware of SW trends. Interested in Digital TV.

İŞ TANIMI

The work is predominantly development, to create, maintain and support new and existing software products. Activities also include integrating these products to various target platforms, and customising user interfaces. Other opportunities that may arise from time to time include things like technical feasibility studies, reviews and investigations, representing the company at standards / broadcaster / manufacturer special interest groups and forums, and tracking industry standards, technological advances, and operating practices.
