• University degree from a relevant discipline, preferably from engineering
• 0-1 Year of working experience in planning, designing, deploying, managing/ troubleshooting Microsoft Exchange Server (2010, 2013) systems as well as the following areas: DNS, Windows Server 2003 / 2008 / 2012, and Windows PowerShell, Citrix Virtual Desktop experience is a plus
• Configuring and managing Exchange High Availability and Site Resilient solutions is a plus
• Planning, designing, configuring and deploying Microsoft Lync utilizing the high availability and disaster recovery capabilities is a plus
• Certification preferred but not required.
• Detail oriented, organized and possess self-management and prioritization skills to handle multiple tasks and projects.
• Experience working in a large, enterprise environment with 50+ of servers is a plus
• Fluency in English
• Male candidates must have completed their military services
• Should be a good team player and should be able perform well under stress

 

İŞ TANIMI

We are seeking a Windows System Administrator with the will and ambition to work in IT Infrastructure Operations Management Function, reporting IT Infrastructure Operations Senior Manager of Vodafone Turkey.
 
To maintain and operate the Windows Server and MS Exchange infrastructure including upgrades and security patches
To administer and give support for the Windows Server and MS Exchange infrastructure on 24*7 basis, provide technical expertise/consultancy.
To improve current processes, performance tuning and implementing configurations and best practices.
To prepare system backup and recovery configurations for the Windows Server and MS Exchange infrastructure, implementing disaster recovery procedures

 Essence of Role – Key Accountabilities

• Responsible for the followinf activities for Windows Server and MS Exchange
• Responsible for the followinf activities for Windows Server and MS Exchange
• Effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of Windows
• Server and MS Exchange systems hardware and software and related infrastructure.
• Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
• Contribute to and maintain system standards.
• Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks.  Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale.
• Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
• Provide Tier III/other support per request from various constituencies.  Investigate and troubleshoot issues.
• Repair and recover from hardware or software failures.  Coordinate and communicate with impacted constituencies
• Apply OS and Exchange patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure / add new services as necessary.
• Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required.  Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required.
• Maintain operational readiness ensuring complete recovery in the event of a disaster.
• Attend DR tests regularly, as outlined in the company policies and procedures to ensure
• DR functionality. Update the policies and procedures as required.
• Provide assistance in new projects during all stages of including: assessment, planning, designing, initiation, implementation of the Windows Server infrastructure
• Implementing change management processes and user requests on systems
• Evaluation of new versions, patches, firmwares and security patches. Implementing upgrades and security patches regularly.
• Implementing security policies on servers according to the best practices and company procedures.
• Periodic monitoring of systems, performance tuning and capacity planning and trend analysis
