UNILEVER

• Bachelor degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Food Engineering or related discipline; preferably with Master / MBA Degree
• Minimum 10 years of experience in related field within a FMCG environment with expertise in related legislations
• A well-established track record of delivery for which there is business recognition
• A well-developed management ability, acquired through the leadership of substantial projects or teams
• Experience in an external environment (eg contact with authorities or industry associations) is a prerequisite
• A well-developed internal and external professional (Industry associations in the region) network is preferred
• Excellent command of Turkish and English

İŞ TANIMI

• Defines & drives the regulatory strategy in the region, across all categories and geographies
• Line manages the Regulatory Affairs resource in the region, driving the talent agenda and building a strong regional team
• Co-ordinates & aligns overall regulatory support in terms of R&D projects, activities and priorities in the region
• Ensures product compliance in the region, in co-operation with Deploy Directors and the RA Global Products Compliance organisation
• Identifies optimal interpretation of regulations for best business opportunities for regional projects. Provides timely input of regulatory requirements into global projects
• Provides regulatory risk analysis for compliance issues in partnership with R&D, SC, Legal and other related departments
• Analyses impact of regulations in the region to use ingredients/technologies/claims
• Builds technical influencing strategies for Unilever positions in the region, ensuring alignment with the global regulatory agenda
• Accountable for industry associations co-ordination and pan-national industry associations/regulatory interactions
• Coordinates activities with the legal and External affairs functions in the region for joint plans
• Accountable for capability development in the region. Define capability agenda for the region and attune individual workplans. Ensure proper talent management and succession planning
• Represents Regulatory on the Regional R&D LT and representing the region on the Global Regulatory LT
• Fully aware of relevant regulatory developments in the region and understands/communicates the potential implications for the business and the risk associated with this
• Ensures consistent regional lobbying and trade associations strategy around existing and future technical regulation in the region, ensuring alignment to the global agenda to provide competitive advantage where possible
• Lead R&D role in external issue management in the region
