QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration & Economics (MBA degree is an asset)
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) degree is an asset
- At least 2 years of experience in accounting
- Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Local Financial Reporting requirements (Tax Balance Sheet and Financial Statements according to the Turkish Commercial Code) and controlling concepts.
- Confident to understand complex accounting treatment
- Organizational, intercultural and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work in a global business environment
- Ability to work under pressure and contribute effectively in a team environment
- IT-knowledge, especially SAP and MS Office
- Fluency in English and Turkish
- Turkish is a must
İŞ TANIMI
Reporting directly to the Head of General Accounting, manage all activities that require accounting judgment to achieve Bayer Group Reporting considering the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Local Financial Statements (according to the Turkish Commercial Code and Tax Balance Sheet) compliant accounting treatment. Act as first contact person for Internal Accounting and be a bridge to the main players in Controlling and Global Offices and local Tax Department in this area. Contribute to the reliability of the books in his/her scope of responsibility allowing a certification by external auditors.The position performs subgroup specific activities that require accounting judgment and comprehensive business knowledge for complete, timely and qualitative execution of Accounting Operations in the area of General Ledger and Internal Accounting according to the defined activity split. Major tasks and responsibilities
- Ensure timely and complete preparation of the Bayer Group Reporting and local financial statements (i.e.Tax Balance Sheet and Financial Statements according to the Turkish Commercial Code).
- Manage major accounting topics with respect to Turkish Commercial Code and Tax Balance Sheet and P&L.
- Provide information to tax function and tax auditors on request.
- Contact business (Controlling, Sales & Marketing, Production etc.) for clarification of business requirements, changes needed for master data. Interface to Global Office in special cases to decide on appropriate value flow
- Create ticket / request for new and adjusted master data (CC, internal order, cost element, cycle/cost allocation) and inform business
- Support the implementation and operation of the defined standard Activity Split for the “standard” General Ledger related posting cases (accruals, provisions) with input from business (Non- Accounting organization).
- Support the overall closing process.
- Prepare accounting treatment of material asset transfers, disposals, changes and sale
- Support external & internal audit. Perform ICS controls in his/her own area of expertise and responsibility
