- B.S or higher in Computer Science from a top school, proven academic success
- solid knowledge of one of the following languages (C, C++, or Java)
- solid knowledge of a scripting language (Perl, Python, or Ruby)
- solid understanding of data structures and algorithms
- 4+ years (for senior developers) of work experience as a developer building large-scale systems
- experience with distributed systems, databases or open-source projects
- working knowledge of operating systems and networking
- ability to propose new projects and drive them to completion
- passionate about solving difficult problems and writing code
