What do I need to qualify for this job?
* Advanced degree in power system engineering and modeling.
* Knowledge of power system modeling, power flow solutions and contingency analysis
* Basic Knowledge / Experience on Dynamic/ Static/ Harmonic Analysis for Power Systems
* Basic Knowledge / Experience on C,C++ or Python programming 
* Willingness to work in SW development
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Demonstrably successful programming projects/assignments
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively 
* Working knowledge of PSS®E or other power system analysis tools, particularly on larger real-world networks as it applies to transmission planning analysis, is a plus
* Strong organization skills and ability to effectively manage multiple tasks at one time
* Team player, customer focused with good interpersonal skills, positive and energetic attitude

Siemens Digital Grid Services & Solutions is researching and developing the future technologies and products of Siemens Group. As being the integral part of this great R&D group, Siemens Digital Grid Turkey is mainly focused on Software Development on Grid Automation&Control , Power System Engineering products and solutions. To accomplish the mission of the group, the candidate will perform as a SW Development Engineer in design and development of Power System Engineering for Siemens PTI's Software Portfolio.

What are my responsibilities?
* Working within the PTI software development team across three primary locations (Schenectady, NY and Houston, TX , Erlangen Germany) to develop and support commercial application software for electrical power system modeling and analysis
* Developing and maintaining Web-based applications and components of the PTI PSS® software portfolio under the direction of the development manager(s)
* Creating robust tests for the QA team to assess performance, correctness and usability of the software
* Providing accurate effort estimation and analysis of tasks required for development, and actively participating in project status reviews

What else do I need to know?
* No restrictions for travelling abroad temporarily
* Military service should be completed for male candidates
