Business Advisor to Country Chair

• A mix of business, government /diplomatic and GR / ER experience is preferred;
• Strong interpersonal skills, able to work effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, at all levels;
• Knowledge of governance and business control frameworks;
• A good knowledge of the business drivers and threats/opportunities relevant to Shell's businesses;
• Interest in government policy and Shell's business and technical capabilities as they relate to the energy industry is preferred.

İŞ TANIMI

The main responsibility is to support the Country Chairman in the identification and resolution of issues, supporting internal strategy and planning processes, and in external representation. Additionally, the incumbent is to monitor and analyse political and energy/oil/ gas related developments and work with the local business leads and External Relations (ER), Legal, Security, Finance departments to identify areas where advocacy is required and lead/ coordinate advocacy efforts. 
Play a leading role in supporting the CCh to fulfill its mission of protecting and generating in-country value. Crucial to this is working closely with all of Shell Turkey businesses, monitoring external developments in the market and relevant legislation as well as internal and external coordination for advocacy with government authorities. 

• Support Turkey CCh and Country Coordination Team (CCT) in early identification and management/resolution of emerging issues and opportunities. 
• Monitor and analyse intelligence on external and internal events regarding political, energy and/or Oil & Gas industry developments with potential impact to the existing or aspired businesses in Turkey. Develop appropriate strategies and plans to address opportunities and challenges and provide integrated periodic updates on these to the CCh, regional Government Relations team and relevant business leads. 
• Support in new business development, opportunity identification and framing. Participate in business and corporate project teams.
• Form clear, independent and balanced perspectives on Turkey Oil & Gas opportunities and regularly communicate competitive intelligence in Turkey and the wider region. 
• Represent Shell externally with appropriate stakeholders & levels. 
• Support Shell Turkey Crisis Management Team and relevant internal requirements related to record management, government interface, Code of Conduct where needed. 
• Support the regional gas advocacy team and the Country Chair for carrying out in-country gas advocacy plans.
• Support Country Chair on external messaging (speeches, presentations and country briefs).
