YILPORT Holding is a privately held, wholly owned subsidiary of YILDIRIM Group, one of the fastest growing Turkish industrial groups with its ports located in Turkey as well as in the world. The company has ambitions to become one of the top 10 global container terminal operators and it has recently become the largest terminal operator in Turkey in terms of number of ports operated and overall capacity.
We are looking for an 'Assistant' to the expat General Manager to be based in YILPORT Holding Gemlik terminals.
· University graduate from relevant departments
· Written and oral fluency in English (second language, Italian is prefferred)
· Minimum 2 years of experience in supporting C-Level Executives and General Managers
· Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point required)
· Very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including staff, board members, and local/international partners
· Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks with excellent attention to detail
· Result oriented and have a high sense of urgency to complete the tasks on time
· Forward looking thinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions
· High degree of credibility and integrity as well as able to maintain confidentiality,
· Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills
· No military obligation for male candidates
· Serve as a direct point of contact for internal and external parties on all matters pertaining to the General Manager
· Ability to work independently on tasks, from conception to completion, and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion
· Ability to manage a broad variety of administrative tasks for the General Manager including: managing an extremely active calendar of appointments; completing expense reports; arranging complex agendas; and compiling documents for travel-related meetings
· Research, prioritize, and follow up on incoming issues and concerns addressed to the General Manager
· Prioritize conflicting needs, handles matters proactively, and follows-through on projects to successful completion with deadline pressures.
· Document and verbal translation from English to Turkish- Turkish to English
· Provide high-level administrative support by conducting research, preparing statistical reports, handling information requests and performing clerical function
· Welcome and handle top executive visitors and guests in an effective manner
