What do I need to qualify for this job?
* B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Electric- Electronics Engineering or (similar fields)
* Experience programming in C,  C++ , Fortran and/or Python
* Web application development with Microsoft Visual Studio
* Web Application development experience
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Demonstrably successful programming projects/assignments
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
* Strong organization skills and ability to effectively manage multiple tasks at one time
* Team player, customer focused with good interpersonal skills, positive and energetic attitude
* General knowledge of electrical power transmission network modeling and simulation
* Solid knowhow on Energy Distribution and Transmission networks
* Excellent command of English

Siemens Digital Grid Services & Solutions is researching and developing the future technologies and products of Siemens Group. As being the integral part of this great R&D group, Siemens Digital Grid Turkey is mainly focused on Software Development on Grid Automation&Control , Power System Engineering products and solutions. To accomplish the mission of the group, the candidate will perform as a SW Development Engineer in design and development of Power System Engineering for Siemens PTI's Software Portfolio.

What are my responsibilities?
* Working within the PTI software development team across three primary locations (Schenectady, NY and Houston, TX, Erlangen Germany) to develop and support commercial application software for electrical power system modeling and analysis
* Developing and maintaining Desktop / Web-based applications and components of the PTI PSS® software portfolio under the direction of the development manager(s)
* Creating robust tests for the QA team to assess performance, correctness and usability of the software
* Providing accurate effort estimation and analysis of tasks required for development, and actively participating in project status reviews

What else do I need to know?
* No restrictions for travelling abroad temporarily
* Military service should be completed for male candidates
