UNIX AND STORAGE ADMINISTRATOR

TAV TECHNOLOGIES

• Bachelor's Degree in computer sciences, electronics or related fields.
• Minimum 5 years of technical work experience.
• An in-depth knowledge of Linux Operating Systems in virtualized and physical environments such as Red Hat, Centos, Debian, SUSE Linux, etc.
• Familiarity with the fundamentals of Linux scripting languages
• Proficient with security, network and high availability tools such as Selinux, IPTables, Linux IPVS, HAProxy, Red Hat Cluster, Pacemaker and Load balancing etc.
• Leading all system administration functions of the servers, perform patch and software distributions, run security configuration of the systems, provide reports for management use, and demonstrate system health and compliance based on pre-defined standards.
• Complete routine maintenance, OS hardening, OS patching, auditing, and security compliance.
• Installation, Administration, Configuration, Upgrade, Migration and Maintenance of physical servers, storage, backup and tape library hardware.
• Familiarity with HPE, Hitachi, EMC/Dell, Oracle, NEC hardware will be an asset.
• Knowledge of administration and configuration of VMware and Nutanix virtualization.
• Backup technologies experience in Veritas Netbackup and Commvault
• Ability to adopt standards including system change management and project management practices.
• Strong influencing/negotiating skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Detail oriented, organized and possess self-management and prioritization skills to handle multiple task and projects.
• Self-motivated, self-starter, team player, able to set priorities and manage to deadlines.
• Exceptional customer service orientation
• Fluency in English.

İŞ TANIMI

• A critical system administrator role who will act as a system administrator in TAV Technologies HQ
• Design, installation, administration, configuration, upgrade, migration and maintenance of Linux Servers, Vmware & Nutanix platforms, Storage & Backup hardware, Backup Software
• Responsible for performance monitoring and tuning of systems
• Maintaining high availability and redundancy of business critical systems
• Troubleshooting problems and solving issues within SLA in responsible areas
• Troubleshooting of production issues, provide expedited resolution and 7x24 support for mission-critical systems
• Performing long-term planning for hardware and software upgrades, prepare annual capacity plans
• Following up licensing and support agreements
• Establishing and maintaining policies and procedures
• Keeping infrastructure documentation up to date, reviewing and revising if necessary
• Preparing as well as enforcing information security management system documentation
• Preparing tender documentation such as solution descriptions, high or low-level designs, technical BoQs and priced BoQs
