What do I need to qualify for this job?
* Bachelor's (B.S.) degree in Electrical Engineering
* Analytical thinking result and good communication skills are required competencies
* At least 5 years related experience leading Overhead Catenary Works on site
* Familiarity with specific design requirements related to Overhead Catenary systems.
* Familiarity with associated rail road systems and interface
* Good command of English
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Experience with the design, installation, testing, and commissioning of Overhead Catenary systems
* Working knowledge of industry standards associated with railway design and operation
* Efficient using business software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Project, and Outlook
* Work within and communicate across multi-disciplinary teams
* Ability to provide technical advice regarding design, construction, or program modifications and repairs, and write factory and field-test procedures when applicable
* Ability to assist with technical proposals for new projects and help develop cost proposals based on client specifications, mentor junior staff, and assist in building a positive image for Siemens by developing and managing good client relations for both existing and new clients in the public transportation and the rail industry
* Knowledge of electrified AC-DC railway systems  transformers, cables, circuit breakers, surge arresters, catenary, MV switchgears, UPS, Battery Charger, UPS  and protective relaying equipment
* Overhead Catenary systems experience with 750VDC-1500VDC, 25kVAC

DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
For our Mobility Division, we are looking for a Overhead Catenary Line Project Engineer who will be responsible for DC and AC Overhead Catenary Projects in Railway Electrification department. This Role will provide informal task and project management, as well as leading project designs and junior engineers.

What are my responsibilities?
* Leading the development design approaches and concepts on assigned projects and requests assistance from the senior technical staff when needed.
* Performs specific engineering studies and design analyses and assists the project manager in establishing budgets, cost estimates and project schedules.
* Reviews shop drawings, record changes and communicate directly with suppliers, contractors and client representatives as required.
* Performs on-site inspections during construction and coordinates design requirements with contractors and equipment suppliers.
* Make and/or supervise the scoping, implementation and design of plans.
* Plan other consultation services. Maintain highest quality of design and review.
* Assists Project Managers in the coordination of project designs with other disciplines including attendance at project meetings.
* Maintain overall group schedule of project deliverable milestones, billing objectives and activity codes.
* Actively participates in professional organizations and/or client groups where the technical reputation and image of the firm may be enhanced.
* Works independently, follows direction from project management, and maintains authority over client requirements.  May work with contractors engaged in installation work.
* Managing the site activities according to PM@Siemens requirements. Control and conduct all site works.
* Providing support to the installation and maintenance works. Joining test and commissioning activities.
* Supply creative feedbacks to increase the quality of service operations and processes
* Attend client site surveys and/or client meetings
