QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

AREA SALES MANAGER who will work in
İstanbul. A brief job description of the position and preferred qualifications for the suitable candidates are defined below;
- Graduate degree in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing or a related field with successful academic record
- Minimum 7-8 years of experience in FMCG sector in African region, mainly sales, distributor management or marketing.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English with the ability to interact effectively, Arabic will be an asset.
- Proven track record of leadership and people management
- Strong analytical skills and the demonstrated ability to creatively solve problems
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work and contribute effectively in teams, having a strong international ability
- Ability to interpret financial data
- Good planning and organization skills & ability to manage multiple projects with tight timelines
- Strong data analysis skills (qualitative & quantitative)
- Self-confident, self-motivated, strong analytical and interpersonal skills even under stress environments
- Advanced user of MS Office applications
- Valid driving license
- Able to travel abroad
İŞ TANIMI
- Establish and maintain relationships at appropriate levels with customers (distributors) in the African region and manage the interface between company and the distributor.
- Thorough understanding of customer needs to ensure account plans are in place, up to date and activated for all customers within the region.
- Engage in the budget process of his/her region; metrics for volume, revenue, contribution, expenses and manage delivery to budget.
- Taking ownership of and responsibilty for the strategic development of the region through the distributorship in line with company targets quarterly and annual basis.
- Be actively involved in the pricing strategy and devise margin driven activities and deliverables.
- Thorough understanding of supply chain dynamics and needs to ensure customers are aligned with the relevant service offer for their businesses.
- Work closely with the Customer Service, Logistics departments for a smooth operation.
- Review regularly the product prices to maintain the targeted profitability set forth at the AOP process.
- Monitor competitor strategies and products, assess impact on business and propose changes.
- Achieve by country/region/distributor; distribution targets, including new product launches and supported by merchandising solutions (application of the right product displays (planograms).
- Preparing, coordinating and executing marketing and business plans for responsible markets in line with the distributor.
