QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION


Fluent in Business English, written and oral
He/She needs to demonstrate good interpersonal skills and the ability to work with multiple parties.
The incumbent will need to be able to handle multitude of competing priorities, tight timeline and make decisions amidst ambiguity.
Experience in any supply, distributions or trading operations is a plus while candidates with relevant expertise on the below areas are highly encouraged to apply.

T&S environment is often dynamic and fast moving. Schedulers often have to be able to respond quickly and accurately to challenging and sometimes conflicting deadlines in order to comply with business needs and policy guidelines.
The ability to prioritise from several potentially conflicting tasks whilst keeping a cool head is essential to success in dealing with internal and external customers. We are looking for those willing to work to deadlines in a lively, fast-moving, frequently changing environment where numeracy, attention to detail, proven team working and communication skills are important.
This is an operational job that requires incumbent to be contactable outside office hours to oversee important activities or resolve unplanned operation issues. In case of unplanned activities work pressure can be significant


İŞ TANIMI

Supply Scheduler will act as a subject matter expert and will have a focus on scheduling activities for the fuel imports mainly dominated by marine transport.
In consistence with local requirements and Shell HSSE standards, scheduler will be responsible from the execution of the import plan and will ensure optimum operational feasibility at the supply chain. He/She provides professional oil and freight scheduling & operations services to Supply Planners, in the import channel, for all fuel products.
Scheduler should maintain the optimum execution of the detailed supply plan ensuring feasibility with a commercial mind-set where logistics feasibility, bank letter of guarantee liabilities, demurrage and price exposure are directly impacted by his/her operational performance. He/She should work very closely with Supply Coordinators, Traders and 3rd Party sellers to ensure best class execution and improved deal/channel optimisation with a cross product approach. 
The desk is also responsible for the end-to-end orchestration of the customization process for all fuels which requires very close, regular and effective communication with custom agents and where underperformance may lead to severe supply disruptions together with significant financial impacts on demurrage and bank letter of guarantee liabilities.
An effective communication is essential with Product Quality, Legal, Finance and Tax departments.
Close liaison with Traders, Supply Coordinators and fuel terminals is required to ensure the supply-chain is kept feasible in the most cost efficient way and all contractual and operational obligations arising from the contracts are carried out. By working as part of a team, the incumbent must:
  • Execute supply plans for all products in import channel scheduling & operating import supplies in coordination with Shell and 3rd party operated terminals.
  • Ensure operational feasibility in day-to-day with continuous feasibility feedbacks to supply planners
  • Co-ordination of loading/discharge of sea-going vessels and the handling of cargo documents from refinery and storage locations
  • Contractual and operational support to Supply Coordinators and Traders.
  • Liaise with source refineries, terminals, exchange partners, terminals and multiple classes of business to ensure replenishments are accomplished optimally when the need to react to both internal and external events occurs.
  • Capture non-conformance, supply, quality and HSSE incidents.
  • Ensure that all obligations arising from the contract/charter party are carried out
  • Ensure cargo nominations are sent accurately on time. Prepare and send voyage orders when required and monitor progress of vessels. Hold an open communication with counterparties within terminals, and 3rd parties.
  • Monitor and follow-up the gain/loss of the Hydrocarbon purchases.
  • Seek to add value by exercising embedded commercial and logistical deal options and by a pro-active approach to problem solving
  • Deal with oil and freight counter parties, terminals and vessels on a regular basis regarding all post-deal activities ensuring all necessary operational information is passed on in good time and documentary requirements are met
  • Appoint independent inspectors, expeditors and ships agents.
  • Ensure that all data pertaining to cargo or voyage claims/demurrage are recorded to enable efficient handling of the claims by Trading & Supply department.
  • Minimize demurrage costs and bank letter of guarantee liabilities due to import operations. Work closely with Finance/Tax departments.
  • Administration tasks such as stock accounting, monthly reconciliation are also part of this function.
  • Hold the operational contact with custom agents for the whole fuel import process to ensure compliant and efficient customization working closely with customs advisor.
  • Fully compliant with ISO9001 Management Quality system and ISO27001 Information security management systems
