QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Strong knowledge of HSSE standards and practices
  • Proven track record in a commercial role preferably with solid distributor & account management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to establish effective relationships with staff and customers at all levels across geographies and face to face as well as virtually
  • Developed negotiation skills and good awareness of contract management
  • Demonstrated ability to multi task, prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Exceptional customer service and organizational skills
  • Preference for an individual with strong business acumen and a commercial mindset
  • High level of self-motivation and commitment
  • A high level of written and verbal communication skills in both Turkish and English
 
 


İŞ TANIMI

Under the Chemicals organization, in this position, the employee will develop and manage long-term customer relationships with distributors and the key accounts at a senior level within these organizations, while coordinating the activities of other service providers who support these accounts, in order to achieve overall sales targets and ensure customer satisfaction. The employee will also have to understand and keep track of changing customer needs and business environments to ensure the most appropriate service providers are assigned to fulfill the customers needs. Other important roles include finding new sales and business opportunities and collaborating with the Senior Sales Manager Turkey & the HODer & Solvents EUAF team.
  • Meet or exceed the budgeted sales plan (volumes/margins) in line with global and regional product line strategy.
  • Build and maintain excellent customer relationships with existing and new accounts to ensure successful delivery of the customer experience and to maximize value for Shell

- Support growth strategy at identified new customer and market segments

- Negotiate medium/long term contracts and spot prices, ensuring consistency in applying the regional product line strategy and mandates.

- Actively grow the pipeline of new customers and prospects

  • Understand margin drivers (e.g. product manufacturing cost, supply cost, working capital, product pricing, exchange rates effects, etc) and end-to-end enterprise value drivers and use these to determine business approach.
  • Support the global team to achieve the PL Strategy
  • Identify and evaluate customer needs, competitor activities / threats, and initiate appropriate actions in coordination with the product line Product Manager.
  • Work in close cooperation with Operations Manager, Product Manager, other Sales Managers (incl other Product Lines), Supply Chain, Credit, Legal and CRCs (customer service center) to achieve enterprise business objectives as efficiently and effectively as possible.
  • Create a deep understanding of the customer and the competitive market environment, identify changes and trends, and proactively share these with the extended team/appropriate stakeholders while understanding and interpreting the business impact.
  • Understand the various products applications, advice customers on product fit and engage technical support when it creates value.
  • Develop and execute account plans for your customer portfolio.
  • Develop and manage customer relationships
  • Contribute to the development of sales, marketing, and business plans
  • Act in accordance with Shell's Health Safety Security and Environment (HSSE) guidelines, understand business impact of HSSE and promote HSSE mindset internally as well as externally. Proactively monitor customer's HSSE needs and practices.
