QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant subject (Food Science/Technology, Food Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biological Sciences, Regulatory Affairs,)
• Minimum 5 years experience in international FMCG company, trade association or relevant regulatory field
• Fluent in English
• Ability to communicate complex technical issues into clear simple messages
• Strong technical & regulatory knowledge
İŞ TANIMI
• Act as first point of contact for Regional Deploy Centres (R&D) and business partners regarding regulatory matters. Work closely with product development, marketing, legal and all relevant teams to ensure local regulatory and external requirements, restrictions, and risks are identified, accurate, relevant and timely input given to innovation projects. (These could be in the areas of claims/ labeling, permitted additives/ formulations, quality standards, new regulations etc).
• Participate Regional Claims Forums and provide Regulatory Affairs input and approval of claims
• Participate/ facilitate Local Claims Forums and provide Regulatory Affaris input and approval of claims
• Coordinate/lead regional regulatory information flow (from Global to local and local to Global)
• Provide local and regional input and expertise to the local, regional and global issue management processes.
In Local matters: making sure all products and formulations comply with local regulations through:
• Support R&D compliance tasks for the relevant products.( ie Guidance on Product Classification and appropriate labelling, Definition of requirements to assure quality of documents for product registration/notification)
• Understanding, expert interpretation and communication (with all related bodies) local regulations and impacts applying to products
• Action follow up on all necessary regulatory actions to be taken related to projects and
• compliance
• Establish and update regulatory checklists for product related legal requirements (labelling, product files, application requirements etc. ) also to support R&D teams to in validating artworks
• Act as guardian of compliance processes
In Regional matters: Managing/organizing regional information flow, liaise with Global Compliance team (and manage integration of Global Compliance projects to North Africa, Middle East and Turkey) and Global teams where necessary
• Understand external environment and regulatory developments, support on building lobby plans, advocacy priorities and actions aligned with relevant interfaces (External Affairs, Legal, R&D) and global.
• Responsible for interfacing with regulatory authorities on technical issues and approvals
• Will attend to technical meetings in trade associations and Ministry platforms representing Unilever (to support aligned and agreed lobby/advocacy topics)
Regionally: Track and report regulatory developments in the region with the team, manage information flow between global and local teams to support local lobby/advocacy.
