QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

To be responsible for efficient office administration with the emphasis on providing secretarial support to the senior management of the Attraction.  Responsible for providing an efficient and confidential human resources administration service to the attraction.  This concerns recurring tasks and tasks on project base.

This role is available on a 12 month contract.

JOB PURPOSE
 
·           Entering all new starters, changes, emergency contact details and leavers onto the HR database for both salaried and weekly staff within the attraction.
·           Ensure the new starter process is followed and the correct documentation completed.
·           Accurate data entry of payroll information on a biweekly basis.
·           Payroll and time sheets reporting/distribution to other departments as needed.
·           Maintenance of benefits system to ensure up-to-date personnel information is reflected.
·           Provide support to recruitment process through coordination of interviews, conduction background/reference checks.
·           Reporting including but not limited to: active payroll listing, benefit rosters, STAR recognition on a weekly, biweekly, monthly basis and distribution of pay slips to Attraction employees.
·           Responsible for providing administrative support to the senior management team with confidentiality.
·           Organizes and coordinates conference calls, meetings, trainings, and conferences.
·           Shows a professional attitude and has an excellent work relationship with external contacts.
·           Any other reasonable duties or activities which may be required as appropriate.
  • Provide support to recruiting process through pre-screening applicants and checking references.
  • Keep personnel, new hire files up-to-date and accurate.
  • Schedule all interviews.
  • Prepare and send all letters relating to applications, interviews and miscellaneous letters as needed.
  • Provide support in coordinating staff events.
  • Provide guidance for other departments in creating incentives, contests, etc.
  • Ensure consistency in interpretation of policy & procedures to ensure fairness.
  • Adhoc projects as assigned.

·         Ensure at all times to deliver the highest level of customer satisfaction to internal and external partners, clients, suppliers, and guests.
·         Monitor the employee turnover and notify upper management of any issues related to staff that can affect job performance.
·         Maintain confidential information relating to employees matters.
·         Interact with guests, and all level of staff.   
·         Ensure to be present at all times for the morning briefing and the monthly staff meeting.

APPLIED KNOWLEDGE & SPECIALIST SKILLS
Responsible for providing an efficient and confidential human resources administration service to the attraction.  This concerns recurring tasks and tasks on project basis.
 
  • Minimum 3 years HR Generalist experience
  • Local employment law knowledge
  • Experience managing volume recruitment
  • Experience delivering training 
  • Experience driving a HR activities in a similar size business (50 -100 employees)
  • Experience of implementing employee engagement activities
  • Ability to work with people at all levels
  • Experience dealing with daily employee relations issues
  • Liaison with local recruitment partners
  • Experience managing multiple priorities
  • Experience of cost control
  • Passionate about customer service
MANAGING RESOURCES
 
·         Responsible for monitoring and controlling costs within the boundaries of the office cost budget.
 
HEALTH AND SAFETY
 
Ø  Ensure full compliance of policies and procedures set forth within the MERLIN ENTERTAINMENTS GROUP Health, Safety & Security POLICY (HS001) AND MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (HS001/A)
Ø  Understand risk assessments within own workplace and ensure reporting of any new risks to appropriate line manager.
Ø  In compliance of safe working procedures in place for work activities within one’s job role.
Ø  In cases of incidents or accidents ensure appropriate reporting is done in a timely manner.
