What do I need to qualify for this job?
* B.S. and/or M.S. degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering (similar fields)
* Hands on experience with GIS based software systems and solutions
* GIS software development tools/systems/libraries experience such as OpenLayers, GeoServer, PostGIS, Oracle SDO, ArcGIS, LuciadRIA, LuciadFusion  or similar.
* GIS software standards (OGC WMS, WFS, etc.) knowledge
* Programming experience in Javascript, Java and/or Python
* Full Stack Web Development experience
* Experience in frontend development such as JavaScript, Angular, React, Bootstrap, HTML5, CSS, Node.js, jQuery or similar is a plus
* Relational Database knowledge is a must, NoSQL Database knowledge is a plus.
* Team player, customer focused with good interpersonal skills, positive and energetic attitude
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Demonstrably successful programming projects/assignments
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
* Strong organization skills and ability to effectively manage multiple tasks at one time
* Committed to following development best practices
* Excellent command of English

* No restrictions for travelling abroad temporarily.
* Military service should be completed for male candidates or postponed more than 2 years.

Siemens Digital Grid Services & Solutions is researching and developing the future technologies and products of Siemens Group. As being the integral part of this great R&D group, Siemens Digital Grid Turkey is mainly focused on Software Development on Power System Engineering/Planning products and solutions. To accomplish the mission of the group, the candidate will perform as a SW Development Engineer in design and energy domain specific products for Siemens Software Portfolio.

What are my responsibilities?
* Working within the SWS/PTI software development team across primary locations (Schenectady, NY and Houston, TX, Erlangen Germany, Vienna Austria, Ankara Turkey) to develop and support commercial application software
* Developing and maintaining Web-based applications and components of Digital Grid software portfolio under the direction of the development manager(s)
* Analysis of tasks required for development and actively participating in project status reviews
