Public Relations and Advertising Supervisor

• University degree in Business Administration, Management Engineering, Communications & PR or other similar social science degree.
• Min 3. years PR / communications experience in a company or agency
• Native Turkish, perfect in English (speaking/writing)
• Experience managing agencies, managing campaigns from start to finish
• International experience is a plus (worked and lived abroad)
• People management / motivational skills
• Strong communication skills (verbal, writing, editing)
• Strong vendor management skills

İŞ TANIMI

• To develop and execute the Communication and PR strategy of the company
•  To increase UPS’ advertising recall and brand awareness, to improve UPS’ brand image with (potential) customers and to increase UPS’ brand equity
•  Overseeing external communications brand and PR in Turkeys; handling and progressing all communications programs, liaising with local agencies, district and region office frequently, ensuring work is completed on time to a high standard.

• Manage external communications, including Advertising, Direct Marketing, Public Relations, Customer Materials and online for Turkey.
• Day-to-day running of the PR function and press work – handling incoming media requests and demands – both UPS and UPS SCS
• Work with region to manage the local implementation of direct marketing campaigns
• Work with rest of the marketing team to give insight into local business plan priorities needing advertising support.
• Primary contact for written materials – reviewing and editing local content and translations
• Liase between region and country for online content or management of Turkey websites
• Management of the use of the UPS brand and country brand requests that come from customers and staff via UPS Brand Exchange. Check market usages of brand and adherence to guidelines
• Provide timely feedback on vendor / agency performance, so region communications group can support district with any vendor issues.
• Daily co-operation with and oversight of the retained PR agencies and running of the country PR programs
• Handling, with Region PR and local agencies, crisis situations and issues

• Determines organizational needs, hiring, training, development, counseling of Marketing Staff
• Develops and allocates actionable, measurable, relevant plans and holds the team accountable
• Determines development needs, strengths, successes and failures of the team, provides timely feedback and coaching to ensure performance meeting and exceeding expectations
• Manages career development of the team with a target of organizational development and succession planning
• Ensures timely, clear and ongoing communication to staff
• Acts as a source of positive energy and motivation to increase employee satisfaction
