Part-Time Software Engineer

We are looking for a Software Engineer who will work as a team member in theVESTEL GROUP.

We are looking for 4th year university students interested in software development and embedded systems to join our team in Istanbul on apart-time basis. Our team is developing leading edge digital TV software for Set-Top Boxes (STBs) and integrated Digital Televisions (iDTVs).
 
Qualifications: Enrollment in a Software Engineering, Computer Science or Electronics Engineering program.
 
Required Skills: Experience with C and C++ or similar programming languages. High technical competence. An understanding of multitasking target systems and Linux. A good command of English.
 
General Characteristics: Strong team player - very collaborative, open, and approachable. Good
communicator / excellent listener / clear and articulate. Shows initiative: able to work unsupervised;
aware of SW trends. Interested in Digital TV.

İŞ TANIMI

The work is predominantly development, to create, maintain and support new and
existing software products. Activities also include integrating these products to various target
platforms, and customizing user interfaces. Other opportunities that may arise from time to time
include things like technical feasibility studies, reviews and investigations, and tracking industry
standards, technological advances, and operating practices.
