QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

-College degree on finance or accounting.
-5+ years of experience with S2G, Statutory/Audit filings preferably at Big4.
-ACCA or CPA qualified & Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS and local GAAP.
-Fluent English, oral and written.
-Comprehensive understanding on the local requirements about filing and audit documentation.
-Ability to identify areas which are subject to S2G differences under the local jurisdiction and apply them on a US GAAP Trial Balance.
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills - report out the key achievements, challenges and next steps on a weekly basis to country STAT manager and regional leadership teams.
-Self-starter with a commitment to meet deadlines - strong engagement to perform activities identified in the project plan and lead to completion on time and meet the Key Milestone deadlines of the project.
-Learn quickly the internal business processes and apply the Stat/Tax knowledge during the preparation of the Stat F/S and CIT return.
-Strong attention to details, experience with data analytics.
-Identify risk areas which can impact the timely and accurate completion of the key milestones and use the appropriate communication channels provided by the project framework to escalate issues.
-Strong PC skills, experience with ERP and reporting systems.
-Ensure efficient and effective quarterly tax filing and yearly stat audit processes for the branches and management entities under your scope
-Compile, review and validate the BLP (Baseline pack) documents provided by different GE businesses operating under GE branches to support the Stat Financial Statements and Tax filing under local jurisdiction, escalate and open query in GRT (Global Repository Tool) if documents are not compliant with the local regulation or if any supporting documents are missing for local Stat/tax filing
-Perform G2S (US GAAP to Local STAT) reconciliation for all GE business management entities under the local GE branches in STIR (Stat Tax Information Reporting tool) with the supervision of country STAT manager and MENAT CoE regional teams. Provide supplementary information and perform main controllership checks through the schedules identified in STIR
-Prepare the Stat F/S (Financial Statements) by management entity and perform consolidation (including intra-branch eliminations) as needed and handle the STAT audits performed by external auditors (Big 4) and local tax audits performed by the local authorities
-Report out and explain the G2S walks to the Stat Controllership, Business Tax Controllers and Business Controllers
-Lead the post-filing activities and all relevant S2T planning activities per MAP 020.30 policy
-Support new business transitions to STAT CoE as needed
-Support the country STAT manager on handling GETSAS STAT and Tax activities as needed
-You will handle GE Capital Bye to Pay (B2P), Recorded to Report (R2R) and STAT to Tax (S2T) operations in Turkey. These activities will include but not limited to the following: daily and weekly banking operations and reporting, monthly & quarterly closing process and reconciliations, Tax filings (VAT, WHT and CIT)
