QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

The main objectives of Yuksel Project International are to improve its service quality continuously, maximize the customer satisfaction and sustain its leading position in the Turkish Consultancy sector, and to become a globally active consultant.
Currently, we are looking for a State Road and Highway Design Engineer who will be hired within our Road Group based in Ankara Central Office to design new road layouts and traffic flow systems using Design Roadway software packages including Microstation and Inroads and to perform a variety of engineering tasks by applying local or international engineering techniques and analyses with in the civil engineering discipline.
This is an exciting opportunity for a mid-carrier road designer to join an established team to work on many prestigious public projects. Our road/alignment design engineer will design horizontal and vertical geometry for highway and road projects, and will analyze cross sections, calculate super-elevations, grading vertical alignments and horizontal impacts for roads and highways in Turkey.
Candidates should have experience with vertical clearance calculations, grading and permit plan preparation, as well as experience in using existing horizontal alignments to design new roadway alignments. Ideal candidate must be proficient with Microstation, Inroads Software and Microsoft applications.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, M.Sc. degree is an asset,
- Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible experience in civil or road engineering,
- 3-5 years of related Horizontal/Vertical geometrics work experience is an asset,
- Must have experience in drafting and preparing relevant construction drawings,
- Must be able to utilize specifications to complete proposed designs, and able to collaborate with other engineers and clients to finalize and complete highway and road designs,
- Good command of English in terms of both oral and written capabilities,
- Proven ability to work as part of a team,
- Having analytical and quantitative skills,
- Proven ability to deliver design tasks on time,
- No travel restrictions,
- No military obligation for male candidates,
- Resident in Ankara.
İŞ TANIMI
- Responsible for management of design activities of all highway designs created by design team, spot check all sorts of design and details, detect inconsistencies, review design modifications, setting up progress reports, inspect the design problems introduce by the design team and seek ways for solutions, attend meetings to be held with the client and contribute necessary input prepare relevant reports for the progress and monitoring,- Responsible for conduct further detailed field and desk studies that will lead to the submission of all necessary statutory and other required documents to achieve traffic and road safety plans and measurements for the projects,
- To plan due temporary works or diversion design or proposed should be able to catter for the uninterrupted flow of traffic for the period concerned the design subcontractors shall use agreed national or international standards for traffic control at temporary road works at diversion sites,
- To carry out topographical and hydrological surveys/studies with design team's personnel for detailed design and quantity computation purposes. To establish survey control points giving horizontal coordinates relative to national grid and bench marks giving levels relative to the national datum,
- To review the conceptual design alignment and proposed motorway design standards and suggest alternatives if necessary,
- To prepare detailed design construction drawings for all elements of motorway works. To plan and longitudinal profile will be existing roads, routes, tracks, rivers, ground levels formation and design levels,
- To ensure that performance of the design staff of design team organization are perfectly and effectively implemented on the subjects listed in the definitions of task and take all relevant measures for these matters,
- To attend any meetings reasonably convened by the client and provide any information or evidence reasonably required by the client at any time in connection with the design studies,
- To review transportation studies and preliminary designs submitted by the client, detect inconsistencies if any, and have them completed with team leader.
