QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

YILPORT Holding is a privately held, wholly owned subsidiary of YILDIRIM Group, one of the fastest growing Turkish industrial groups with its ports located in Turkey as well as in the world. The company has ambitions to become one of the top 10 global container terminal operators and it has  recently become the largest terminal operator in Turkey in terms of number of ports operated and overall capacity.

We are looking for a 'Service Desk Supervisor' to be based in YILPORT Holding Gemlik terminals.
  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technologies or other related programs.
  • Written and oral fluency in English.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in IT On-site Support/Service Desk/Help Desk along with technical/application support preferably based on ITIL best practices guideline.
  • Certificated Microsoft & ITIL etc. are preferable.
  • Deep understanding of computer hardware, software, smart phones and printers, field operations equipment.
  • Operational experience in Service Desk Tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to identify areas of potential improvement and recommend solutions.
  • Methodical problem-solvers with an aptitude for learning and quickly adapting new skills.
  • Reside/will be able to reside near to Bursa (Gemlik).
  • No restrictions for travelling locally or abroad when necessary.
  • For male candidates, military service should be completed.


İŞ TANIMI

The Service Desk Supervisor will manage the performance of TIER 1 Service Desk Support to end-users (internal and external) and ensure that support service levels are achieved by supervising the service desk staff. 
  • Responsible for assuring users are provided efficient and timely first level support on a 7x24 basis.
  • Performs staff scheduling to ensure Service Desk coverage during in and out of work hours.
  • Manages the Service Desk staff including consultation on performance evaluations, training requirements and disciplinary responsibilities.
  • Oversee 100% of the requests, incidents and problems. Manages and coordinates urgent and complicated support issues. Act as an assignment/coordination point for all requests and incidents.
  • Provide data and reporting of end user support services KPI’s and trends/dashboards to IT department.
  • Work to make Service Desk Tool the single source of truth and service delivery channel for IT. Monitor and manage incident queue (participating in escalations/assignment as needed).
  • Manage process for communicating outage/emergency activities to the organization via Service Desk Tool. Review survey feedback to improve Service Desk Tool and support experience.
