Responsible for financially supporting to the overall strategic direction and decision making processes for Network Division by providing value added Financial input.
• Provide responsive and constructive support to Network Planning, Operations and Quality Assurance team.
• Provide value added and effective interface between Technology and Finance.
• Understand current and anticipated trends in the mobile telecoms market and priorities and strategy of Technology.
• Develop and communicate financial recommendations.
• Deliver integrated business proposals that influence key decision makers.
• Control, consolidate and challenge the OPEX and CAPEX budgets (DB, 2+10, 5+7, 9+3, LRP) of Network Division in line with planning department’s governance calendar by providing the necessary co-ordination.
• Assure realistic forecasts.
• Prepare supporting documents, schedules and presentations of each forecasted budget item.
• Provide clear and brief financial summaries for planning.
• Interpret results and identify trends proactively, highlighting issues, working in partnership with the business to plan appropriate actions to mitigate impact against the risk
• Conduct proactive approaches to avoid under and over spends.
• Determine risks and opportunities.
• Complete required appendix during planning process.
• Control monthly variances between budgeted items and realizations, determine if there is any budget overrun and calculate specific budget ratios.
• Manage the consistency of budgeted items with the accounting records. Ensure actual data is realized as budgeted.
• Explain monthly variances in the cost centre statements
• Prepare related Capex and Opex figures with commentary on the variances by the end of each month.
• Work in collaboration with related parties for accruals and Capex actuals.
• Report Opex cost center statements with commentaries and Capex report to each cost center responsible
• Provide additional month-end reporting requirements of Technology
• Feed actual performance learning into modeling for future propositions.
• Perform financial analysis for business cases from Revenue, Customer numbers, CAPEX and OPEX perspective.
• Understand strategy of Mobile Networks and build the structure of business case
• Challenge the need of project funding approval requests.
• Check the budget status of business case and evaluate the financial impacts for the following years
• Identify and gather financial and key factors relating to the successful preparation and execution of a business case.
• Evaluate and analyze financial data using specific techniques and processes in line with Group’s Decision Support Excellence.
• Produce presentations and summaries to support management decision making.
• Identify and clarify missing/unclear information to enable more accurate analysis and interpretation.
• Evaluate post launch financial performance and promote action if variance from target.
• Embed robust financial principles within business case development processes.
• Work with Commercial Decision Support Teams in order to evaluate commercial financial impact.
• Involve in saving opportunity projects such as process improvements and outsourcing.
• Perform cost benefit analysis.
• Validate Supply Chain Department’s Stopex Projects in monthly basis, and assure the accuracy.
• Work in collaboration with budget owners to ensure the savings are integrated into budgets.
• Prepare presentation in order to inform Management Team on cost center / projects’ Opex & Capex status.
• Track planned and actual investments.
• Report major delivery projects.
• Present risks and opportunities.
• Provide information that is requested by Planning, Reporting, Supply Chain Management, Treasury Fixed Asset Departments, Budget/Project Owners.
• Provide additional schedules that are requested by Group.
