SYSTEM PROGRAMMING SPECIALIST

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or similar
• Min 5 years system administration experience
• Good verbal and written communication skills in Turkish and English
• Required readiness to travel
• Problem solving skills, able to effectively troubleshoot issues also remotely
• Excellent team work and communication skills
• Flexible schedule that will allow for after-hours and weekend/holiday support and being on call during non-scheduled work hours
• Strong knowledge and experience in Windows Server OS Family, Linux distributions, Backup/Archiving,  Patch Management tools and concepts
• Experience in support of Symantec products will be strong advantage.
• Experience in software deployments and automatic deployment solutions will be an advantage.
• Network knowledge on TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, WAN,LAN architectures
• Ability to automate using scripting languages like (VBs, PowerShell,)
• System monitoring experience,
• Experience in virtualization (Vmware), Symantec Backup
• Experience in Storage, SAN/NAS solutions
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task
• Strong documentation and/or technical writing skills
• Problem solving skills, able to effectively troubleshoot issues also remotely
• Residing in Istanbul-European side is preferred
• Military obligation for male candidates

İŞ TANIMI

• Managing day-to-day server operations
• Works intensively on improving current trade server’s infrastructure and all related applications
• Deploys and troubleshoots Windows & Linux servers
• Communicates with third party vendors and service providers based in different locations.
• Responsible to monitor systems to ensure high performance and availability for 7/24
• Planning, coordination and implementation infrastructure upgrades and installations
• Documents all technical inquiries, develop and review content for knowledge base
• Maintains backup schedule and performs systems & network backups. Ensures on a daily basis that backups are successfully taken
• Ensure design of system allows all components to work properly together.
• Troubleshoot problems reported by users
• Make recommendations for future upgrades
• Maintain network and system security
• Analyze and isolate issues
• Evaluate and modify system's performance
• Identify user needs
