QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

Our Turkish Sales organization is looking for a Sales Engineer for its R&D site at Gebze (Istanbul)

The ideal candidate will have/be :

  • Business Master Degree or Engineering Degree with a willingness to develop a career path in business
  • Fluent in Turkish, English,
  • 4-6 years experience in sales in automotive industrial environment
  • Understands client business, products and key competitors 
  • Strong Microsoft pack office skills (ppt,…) and reporting skills
  • Comfortable with financials
  • Good communication and presentation skills, and capacity of empathy
  • Business international mindset
  • Results orientation, Client orientation, Team player and ability to work in a matrix organization
  • Good analytical skills and Accountability
  • No military obligation


İŞ TANIMI

Integrated within the Sales Organization of a given Customer Business Unit (“CBU”), the Sales Engineer is responsible for the Sales development of the assigned portfolio of products, for a delimited perimeter (Program, Serial Life) within a Division / Region.
 
The main missions of the role are:
 
  • Develop the appropriate intimacy with his/her Customer contacts (Purchasing, Engineering, Programs) :
    • Regular visits with preparation and minutes
    • Build relationships with key staff in the client organization
    • Monitor the level of customer satsifaction at regular intervals or after each significant step
  • Prepare the commercial offers to answer on due time to the Customer requests :
    • Get a good understanding of the costing files
    • Propose and get validated the targeted pricing and the negotiation path / tactics to convince the customer
    • Ensure proper documentation of all prices and written communication to customer
    • Understand and apply the guidelines proposed by the hierarchy regarding contractual management
  • Serial Life :
    • Prepare and negotiate the commercial answers to the customer ECRs (“Engineering Changes Requests”)
    • Detailed understanding of piece price, tooling and D&D impact
    • Follow the Variable Cost Margin of the products
    • Prepare anf follow commercial productivity proposals
    • Understanding and commercial management of local economics (inflation, exchange rate)
    • Understanding and rigourous implementation of the Sales Administration guidelines & processes (purchase orders, invoices, terms of payment, overdues…)
    • Coordinate or take directly in charge the process productivity and product productivity negotiation
    • Ensure follow-up of the productivity negotiation, in particular that the conditions defined during the negocation are respected by both parties (Customer and Faurecia)
    • Commercial management for Spare Parts
  • Programs :
    • Act as Program Sales Leader – Part of the Program core team
    • Prepare and negotiate – on a proactive manner – the commercial answers to the customer ECRs
    • Understanding of the Program Business Plan and associated commercial levers
    • Follow the profitability of the Program
