Shell & Turcas is operating both in Fuels and Lubricants businesses in Turkey.  In Kocaeli, Derince there is a Lubricant and Grease Production facilities which provides lubricants and greases to local market and exports to 46 countries.

To ensure efficient planning and supply of component materials supply into the Lubricants Supply Chain to meet projected demand, we are looking for a Materials Planner who;
 

• Graduated from related fields of Engineering, Business Administration, chemicals faculties from reputable universities
• Minimum 2-3 years hands-on experience in materials/production planning activities in a Supply Chain organisation
• Experience in Financial reporting (OPEX, Capex, etc) is preferable
• Minimum 2-3 years SAP PP, SAP APO and/or SAP MP experience
• Completed military service for male candidates
• Living in or willing to relocate to Istanbul Asian Side or Izmit
• Be able to work under strict deadlines and in flexible hours
• Good communication and planning skills, analytical/numerical thinking capability, decision making and problem solving ability
• The ability to work effectively on a team or independently
• Fluent use of English knowledge
• Efficient handling of multiple priorities at the same time 

İŞ TANIMI

PURPOSE :
The purpose of this role is to ensure efficient planning and supply of component materials supply into the Lubricants Supply Chain to meet projected demand.
This requires determination of the mid and long-term supply requirements, communication of these to suppliers, identification and pro-active resolution of any constraints on behalf of the Region.
The role also involves trade-off and prioritization decisions in cases where insufficient supply is available to meet the demand.
The role is also responsible for communicating component forecasts and managing Supplier performance through regular continuous improvement / review meetings with suppliers.
 
POSITION DESCRIPTION – ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Prepare and optimize materials supply plans in accordance with the customer needs, supplier capabilities, restricts of purchasing, production and logistics processes on SAP PP and APO module
• Determines component material (baseoil, additives, packaging etc) supply requirements based on Demand Forecast.
• Communication, review and confirmation with Suppliers regarding ability to meet the demand requirements
• Key interface between Suppliers and Supply Planner/ Production Schedulers to ensure supply constraints are pro-actively resolved.
• Determines optimization of inbound quantities to balance trade-off of order frequency and inventory costs.
• Manages Supplier performance for the Envelope through SLA reviews, performance monitoring, corrective action identification and implementation Supports product introductions and withdrawals being made in a timely, efficient manner
• Ensure that materials planning materials master data (static and dynamic) remains accurate.
• Ensure that supplier performance, manufacturing optimisation, inventory holding and customer service are continuously improved through the identification and elimination of waste.
• Work with suppliers to identify any constraints that need to be taken into account in the Inventory Policy.
• Work closely with production planners to ensure that raw material availability does not disrupt production.
• Ensure that inventory, delivery quantities and frequency are optimised.
• Ensure that deviations from plan are visible and agree recovery plans, root cause analysis with the operations team to prevent re-occurrence.
• Reviewing alerts in a timely manner to ensure system generated replenishment plans are achievable and maintain plans by exception
• Use relevant KPIs to drive performance and improvements through continuous improvement activities
• Follow-up and support materials introductions and withdrawals regular basis as well as under the portfolio change projects.

 
 SPECIAL CHALLENGES
 
This role will be responsible for the following items as an addition to Material Planning activities :

• Support various regular legal, fiscal and financial reporting activities such as EPDK reporting, GIB reporting etc
• OTV (Special Consumption Tax) baseoil reporting and regular follow-up in order to comply with L&F reporting requirements
