Natural Gas Operations Specialist

• University Degree (ideally in some technical discipline)
• Operations experience in Turkish natural gas market is a plus
• Knowledge of primary and secondary legislation about the natural gas market in Turkey, ability to initiate change requests where necessary
• Good analytical skills
• Able to perform a number of tasks under severe time pressure, in challenging and stressful environments
• Results oriented, diligent and enthusiastic; good time management skills.
• Good communication/presentation skills in both written and spoken English.
• Able to establish/build relationships with customers/stakeholders, sensitive to other cultures, and able to successfully operate outside Turkey as and when required.
• A self-starter in general, but specifically to accommodate the challenges of the office situation
• Familiarity with the use of computers and usual IT tools (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc).

İŞ TANIMI

• To manage the operational activities of Shell Enerji as well as supporting sales, business development, finance and regulation.
• Being a member of the Turkish Gas Operations team, responsible for Turkish gas portfolio to ensure the smooth and accurate day-to-day processing, monthly and quarterly reconciliations of our natural gas activities.
• Support set up of efficient day-to-day procedures with customers, transport system operator, suppliers and local distribution companies
• Execution of daily nominations
• Co-ordination of system planning (supply / demand forecasts, maintenance, capacity reservation/transfer/switching)
• Support to handle of exceptional situations, e.g. limited capacity, difficult days, emergency cases
• Focal point / interface for basic technical and operational issues with customers
• Support of preparation and consolidation of data for management information purposes
• Support the improvement of MIS tools and spreadsheets for more efficient data handling and reporting.
• Carrying out stakeholder engagements (e.g. transport system operator, regulator, industry associations) at relevant level for operational issues
• Provide Operational Support in the preparation of Gas Sale and Purchase Agreements
• Support of business development activities in order to expand the size of business in Turkey,
• Participating in regulatory studies in industry working groups to support preperation of liberal market regulation
