QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts is a distinctive group of deluxe hotels where we put the emphasis on our people. Swissotel Resort, Bodrum Beach lies directly on the waterfront in Turgutreis, approximately 20 km from the centre of Bodrum, a very popular destination as it offers ideal conditions for water sports, culture and Aegean relaxation.

The main two-storey hotel of Swissotel Resort, Bodrum Beach comprises 66 rooms and suites, with minimum 40 m² per room. This is complimented by 72 serviced residences at 85-348 m². 

The restaurants and bars are places of entertainment, where the ambience runs from formal to casual and dishes are prepared with the best local products.

Summary of Responsibilities:

The main responsibilities and tasks of this position are as listed below, but not limited to these:

 Sales

  •         To consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  •         To ensure prompt and courteous service is extended to both internal and external customers
  •         To ensure the achievement of sales objectives on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis
  •         To solicit group, transient and/or banquet business through action plan preparation and execution
  •         To establish parameters, quotes and negotiate prices, confirming by written contracts

  •         To participate in tradeshows, conventions and promotional events within the hotel and trade related organizations
  •        To maintain accounts, contact, activity and business details within the appropriate software applications
  •        To work closely with Catering and Front Office to ensure all details of the contract were delivered and guests depart satisfied
  •        To prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports, as required

Reservation

  •        To enter room reservation requests using the Opera System
  •        To enter rooming lists while ensuring accuracy, as required
  •        To update reservations ensuring a flawless check in and check out process
  •        To ensure revenue is maximized by up-selling guest rooms and recommending hotel facilities
  •        To liaise with sales and other departments as required
  •        To answer telephone and email inquiries in a timely manner
  •        To assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way
  •        To follow department policies, procedures and service standards
  •        To follow all safety policies 
  •        Other duties as assigned

        Qualifications:

       We are looking for a well organized and creative candidate with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who is able to display a “passion for perfection” and work in a dynamic environment. In addition, the candidate should possess:

  •        Previous guest related experience required
  •        Previous Opera System experience preferred
  •        Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications andor relevant computer applications required  
  •        University/College degree in a related discipline preferred
  •        Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal required
  •        Excellent written and spoken English communication skills and knowledge in an additional language, along with strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities are essentials.
  •        Highly responsible & reliable
  •        Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
  •        Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
  •        Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
