Commissioning Engineer

As a Commissioning Engineer, you will oversee commissioning in projects with low to medium complexity and coordinating work with entry-level staff. You will ensure that commissioning activities are completed efficiently and cost-effectively, in accordance with specifications, standards, and safety requirements. 

Reporting to the Installation and Commissioning Manager, you will assist and coordinate installation activities with the Installation Supervisor/Site Manager, as well as implementing design changes and marking up project documentation. The work location is Bursa/Turkey.

Your background

• University degree in Engineering (Mechatronics, Mechanics or Metallurgy and Materials),
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in Robotics, welding, fixture and commissioning processes,
• Knowledge of industrial robot operations,
• Preferably have process knowledge in one or more disciplines such as welding, material handling, paint, press automation, picking/packing/palletizing, camera applications etc. is a plus,
• Preferably Certified Welding Engineer (EWE, IWE),
• Experience in ABB Robots is a big plus,
• Experience in offline robot programming and simulation packages (RobotStudio) is a plus,
• Advanced level of English skills,
• Turkish knowledge is a must,
• Innovative, team player and highly motivated profile with strong interpersonal skills,
• No limitation for travel and working in customer site.

• Designing tools and equipment's control of simulation,
• Giving feedbacks mechanical design teams,
• Following manufacturing, assembly and start-up phases of designed equipment to ensure quality and functionality,
• Leading on-site commissioning and verifying virtual simulations,
• Preparing documentations for ABB standards,
• Supporting R&D projects and developing new robotic cells,
• Representing ABB during site visits, communicating at all levels to ensure customer satisfaction,
• Assisting sales people during customer visits when necessary,
• Assisting bid and proposal teams,
• Coordinating corrective and preventive actions,
• Following and finalizing the commissioning processes according to the project plan,
• Follow-up and solution of problems and transfer of lessons learned to the project department,
• Preventing disruption of commissioning processes by ensuring coordination with other departments.
