Chief Metallurgist

We are looking for a team member who will work for ACACIA Mining Operations as a "Chief Metallurgist ",

• BSc degree in Mineral Processing Engineer or Mining Engineer specialized in metallurgy or similar, 

• Excellent command of both written & spoken English, 

• The ability to organize, plan and analyze is advanced, 

• Team leader and mentor, Conflict and crises management, 

•Good Communication Skills, 

• Min. 10 years of related experience in mining industry, 

• Microsoft Office programs at good level, Matlab, Access and SQL is an advantage, 

• Class B Driving License, 

• For male candidates; completed military service. 

 JOB DESCRIPTION

• Lead direct and supports all aspects of laboratory test work for continues production improvement 

• Develop and manage metallurgical operations and work practices that maximize the operational efficiencies 

• Monitor and analyze key metallurgical performance indicator of process operation and recommend corrective actions 

• Manage all metallurgical activities with the operation team and the external consultants  

• Continual liaison with the plant operation team to ensure plant recovery is maximized while improving the plant capacity and reducing the costs 

• Implementation and ongoing improvement of Process Plant metallurgical systems, policies and procedures including, Cu reconciliation, mass balance, reagent dosing criteria, met testwork and new metallurgical processes and technologies 

• Set up and implementation of met testwork programs to ongoing improvement of the Process Plant performance and reducing the consumables and reagent consumptions. 

• Investigate and implement all technologic opportunities to improve the plant recovery and reduce the operational costs 

• Management, mentoring and performance assessment of the metallurgical team 

• Daily, Weekly and Monthly reporting of metallurgical parameters
