Occupational Health and Safety Training Supervisor

We are looking for a team member who will work for Acacia Mining Operations as an "Occupational Health and Safety Training Supervisor" according to the following qualifications.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum undergraduate diploma (graduation in the field of OHS is preferred),
• B Class OSH Expert Certificate (mandatory),
  
• 8 years relevant experience associated with implementation of safety management systems including exposure to international management system standards such as ISO 14001 and 45001,
• 4 years of experience in industrial environment (mining industry will be a plus) working with employees and contractors including the delivery of HSE related training,
• Ability to understand quickly training requirements,
• Ability to develop training presentations and reports,
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
• Strong interpersonal skills, able to communicate proactively in a multicultural environment,
• Capacity to work under pressure and to remain cool and calm with diplomacy in order to properly manage the situation at difficult times,
• Experience with electronic management systems such as SAP, intranet, etc.,
• Good knowledge of Turkish Occupational Health and Safety Regulations,
• Fluent in English – read, spoken and written,
• Microsoft Office software (professional use),
• Patient and persuasive, Perfectionist (without excess), Collaborative and open attitude, and Resilient to pressure,
• Good knowledge of the standards:
• ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System standard, 
• ISO 45001:2018 OHS Management System standard,
• ISO 14001:2015 Internal Auditor Certificate will be plus,
• ISO 45001:2018 Internal Auditor Certificate will be plus,
• Driving License,
• Military service completed (for male candidates).

JOB DESCRIPTION

• To support in identifying training needs, plan, develop and execute OHS training programs on all related issues and emergency management to all ACACIA employees in order to promote a safe working environment and safety culture within the ACACIA MINING OPERATIONS OHS policy and guidelines,
• Designing and administering training programs,
• Identifying training needs and providing recommendations on programs and activities,
• Delivering training programs,
• Conducting staff training,
• Maintaining records and providing participants with feedback,
• Provide training services to support the elements of the ACACIA OHS Management System. Includes training related to Occupational Safety, Emergency Services, Health, Environment, and Risk Management,
• Conduct training needs analysis for employees and subcontractors of ACACIA related to OHS Policy and Procedures. Develop, implement and conduct appropriate training programs to support identified needs,
• Assist in the development of appropriate mandatory OHS training matrixes for all employees and subcontractors of ACACIA,
• Maintain a documented inventory of OHS training including specifications, requirements, curriculum, etc. Ensure that an accurate database of OHS training is maintained against all employees and subcontractors,
• Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of OHS training and develop appropriate training solutions/changes to ensure a high level of quality and competency,
• Identify, implement and maintain appropriate training facilities, materials, and resources to support OHS training needs. Plan and submit budgets for appropriate departmental spending,
• Submit regular reports to the OHS Manager on the status of the OHS training program. Analyze trends and make recommendations for improvement,
• Support the development and integration of new comers into the organization,
• Identify and implement appropriate strategies and training programs related to OHS,
• Support the development and implementation of integrated management systems. Ensure that ACACIA OHS training complies with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements,
• Attend to OHS meetings organized in OHS Department when invited.
