We are looking for a "Medical Advisor " for our customer who has established itself as a major player in “Energy Sector”.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Be a medical doctor (MD) 
  • Have a working knowledge of the medical network in his/her country 
  • The person in this position is not required to provide hands-on medical treatment of SLB people except in emergency situations.
  • Must be practicing medicine in their country on a regular basis (minimum of 3 years) either in their own private facility or in a hospital/clinic
  • Must be fluent in English 
  • Must have good oral and written communication skills 
  • Must have working knowledge of Outlook, internet as well as other computer software (Word, Powerpoint, Excel)


JOB DESCRIPTION 

  • To help facilitate the delivery of new and existing corporate health programmes by; Reviewing existing health program performance, Assisting with the upgrade and redesign of health programs, Clinical governance support to manage core health system elements, MedTrack and MedCheck case review and escalation for discussion with the Global Medical Advisor o Support communication with other HSE and Medical Team members to understand changing elements of the health system
  •  To be constantly aware of the overall health conditions in the geounit and to keep the SLB EUR Medical Advisor and the location, country, GeoUnit HSE manager informed accordingly. 
  • To assist management in the evaluation and recruiting of medical personnel in the region.
  • To provide management with recommended lists of equipment and supplies to be held at each company site. 
  • To implement the company health standard and to recommend changes as needed.
  •  To publish health information: • a monthly report of his activities for the company, • a Newsletter every 3 months on pertinent health topics, • a health alert each time it is deemed necessary by epidemics or health risks. 
  • To perform regular health audits of company facilities (medics, doctors, clinics) and recommend improvements as necessary and to provide a clear and concise written summary of his recommendations after each audit. 
  • To present to management a yearly evaluation of the overall health situation of the location/ country/geoMarket employees 
  • To participate in the preparation of the medical emergency response plans, verify their effectiveness and if necessary propose improvements. 
  • To actively participate in the training of the region medical personnel.
  • To develop a network of relation with: • specialized medical centers that can provide expertise, • medical evacuation companies that can be required, • other company doctors in order to facilitate and improve treatment and evacuation of emergency cases
  • To take the medical initiative in case of emergencies or major accidents.
  • To organize and coordinate pre-employment and regular physicals, where legally applicable, for Home Country Employees working in his geomarket or country. 
  • To assist all employees and medical centers in the Med Check and Med Track programs. 
  • To have all the required Schlumberger-provided training (QHSE for managers, defensive driving, etc.). 
  • To keep abreast of the latest medical developments.
