QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Purpose:

              The position holder identifies deficiencies in the design, construction and operation of production facilities that may cause injury to oradversely affect the health of company personnel and document such deficiencies and initiates corrective action. Ensure the Health & Safety system and Environmental Management System established and maintained by Agthia. The people in this position also responsible for ensuring corrective actions are taken against the Health, Safety & Environmental issues related to the company.

      

        Environment Health and Safety Management System EHSMS

  • Ensure that all HSE Activities are closely coordinated with the HSE Manager/Supervisor.
  • Support to Develop and install processes, procedures and systems required to manage HSE.
  • Audit HSE processes and systems and ensures corrective actions are taken
  • Conduct required EHS (Inspections/ Audits) in defined timelines.
  • Identify HSE risks to the management and promulgate opportunities for improvement.
  • Support & promote Continues Improvement to EHSMS.
  • Raise and Track None compliance against EHSMS requirement through action plans with defined time lines.
  • (Support ) Internal and external Audits with site teams to meet audit Criteria and Objectives.
  • Update Management/Team with any Major Audits Findings /Non Compliances/EHS Incidents.
  • Ensure to meet EHSMS Documentation requirement.
  • Track HSE KPI’s with HSE Committee Team/Management through Daily /monthly/ weekly Meetings and Issue relevant reports.
  • Report all Occupational Health and safety Incidents/Accidents in compliance with Emergency Communication Protocol and Legal requirement.
  • Conduct investigation on incidents /accidents /Near miss, including trending, analysis and preventive measures (ALARP).
  • Update and Track incidents investigation recommended Control measures with concerned (department/Action Owner).
  • Verify adequacy and compliance of all closed action by meeting recommended control measures
  • Submission of regularity reports as per the legal requirements .(waste reduction plans /Accidents investigation G-forms /Quarter performance reports)
  • (Support /Promote) Go green Site Program, tours.


HSE Training and Awareness :

·      Provide guidance on HSE at the work place and promote awareness.

·      Conducts Safety Toolbox Talks.

·      Conduct HSE awareness Campaigns /Events.

·      Promote Safety culture by establishing HSE Champions  & Rewards Systems,

   Emergency Preparedness& Response  :

 

·      Follow-up with concerned departments to (Establish/renew) Fire Firefighting contract to meet Civil defence requirement.

·      Follow-up with firefighting contract and facility team to rectify all reported issues against the firefighting systems.

·      Insure the (Readiness/Adequacy/Compliance) of the Emergency and Fire Fighting Systems through regular (inspection /Audits) with the team.

·      Support to Develop Emergency Response Team as per legal /EHSMS requirement and legal requirements.(Fire Marshals /First Aiders)

·      Lead and activate the emergency response plan during any danger encounter people safety and property.

·      Follow-up emergency response (Procedure/Plan).

·      (Provide/Track) medical First Aid Equipment and insure (Readiness/Adequacy/Compliance) through necessary inspection /Audits with the team.

·      Report/Escalate findings with relevant action owner /Management on Spot to address the raised findings.

·      Conduct periodical Mock-up Drills meeting Legal requirement and Company targets.

·      Identify grounds, building structure, equipment, utilities, including work flow that may pose as a potential safety risk.
