Purpose of the Job
Established in 2003 in Istanbul, Medeam works as a branch office of the E-Commerce Department of KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, dedicated to Air France KLM Group and Joint Venture partners. 

You play a fundamental role in the success of KLM’s e-mail marketing! You use your HTML skills to create the most innovative e-mail designs, and your other web development skills to create smart backend solutions to automate the e-mail process. Thanks to you, KLM’s e-mail marketing is constantly improving, because you help to test everything through A/B testing. Sometimes you also help in making sure the data on the backend aligns with what we need for the email! You’re part of a young and ambitious team, and your efforts directly contribute to the effectiveness of the company! 

What you’re going to do
Your scope is mainly e-mail marketing on KLM’s Benelux market, KLM’s home market and therefore very important. Your days are mainly filled with translating new e-mail designs to HTML/CSS/Amp script that work in all important e-mail clients. Also you help in trying out new e-mail technologies. Next to your direct colleagues who are working for the same market, Salesforce Marketing Cloud is going to be your best friend.

• Create new e-mails in HTML/CSS in Salesforce Marketing Cloud. 
• Testing and adjusting e-mails so they work in all e-mail clients, with tools like Litmus. 
• Keep an eye on new technologies and find out how to apply them in our e-mails. 
• Processing feedback of stakeholders to make sure the e-mails are conform their wishes. 
• Assist in the data processes involved to allow the sending of the emails. 
• Help in creating smart solutions in the backend, for instance making sure the last flight ticket prices are automatically loaded in the e-mail before sending. 
  

Your profile
You are a team player with some working experience already. You are eager to make an impact and develop yourself. When you run into obstacles, nobody will tell you to Google it, because you already did. You sometimes dream about beautiful HTML designs or cool JavaScript code. Apart from a good command of English (written and spoken), it is a big advantage if you’re already fluent in a computer language (like JavaScript). To sum it all up: 

• University degree in an applicable field
• Strong affinity with IT, programming and digital marketing 
• Experience with HTML/CSS/JavaScript 
• Some knowledge about e-mail marketing 
• Every extra programming language is a big plus point (especially Python and SQL)
• Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Amp script experience is a plus.
