Job Description

AirTies is seeking a Cloud Operations Engineer based in Istanbul for its cloud based WiFi monitoring and optimization system. This position involves hands on deployment, administration, maintenance, and support and of the system and data extraction for analysis. It is a customer facing technical role with frequent interactions with customers’ operations teams. You would be working on a shift basis with other team members around the world to provide support for AirTies worldwide customers to ensure AirTies cloud solution is operating according to SLAs. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure stability and performance of the AirTies cloud based WiFi monitoring and optimization system, be on call as necessary for critical production issues. Working on a shift basis along with other team members in different geographies may be required to support worldwide customers according to SLAs
• Work with engineering department to troubleshoot and root cause problems from the customer deployments
• Lead new customer deployments of AirTies cloud based WiFi monitoring and optimization system
• Automate deployment, monitoring, management and issue response processes for customer deployments
• Work with engineering department to complete user and system documentation of the AirTies cloud based WiFi monitoring and optimization system
• Develop scripts for extracting data and performing analysis on various databases and files collected from the field

Job Requirements:

 You should have at a minimum;

• A degree with BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field with a genuine interest in cloud infrastructure
• 5+ years of professional work experience of hands-on supporting and troubleshooting large scale highly available production AWS deployments with experience in system and SaaS application monitoring tools and KPI/metrics measurements
• Very good understanding of cloud/server hosting infrastructures, associated components (networking, security, load balancing, storage, etc.), and design/implementation considerations for cost, performance, security, scalability and high-availability
• Understanding of DevOps concepts such as microservices and configuration management, build, source control, and issue tracking systems (Jenkins, Git, CodeDeploy etc).
• Experience in building CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructures and entire delivery pipelines
• High level understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) processes such as CloudFormation and/or Terraform
• Familiarity with cloud networking and security topics
• Show strong scripting skills such as Bash, PHP, Python, NodeJS, Ruby or Go etc. You may be required to demonstrate your scripting skill during the interview
• Good knowledge of web technologies such as Apache, Nginx, Tomcat
• Familiarity with containerized deployments and orchestration services in large scale productions (e.g. ECS, Docker, Kubernetes etc.)

It would be nice to have:

• One or more related AWS certificates
