QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

Aksa Power Generation (APG) was founded as an electrical motor factory by Ali Metin Kazanci in 1968, AKSA manufactured its first generator in 1984 and became an expert in machinery and hardware for electrical energy supply in a short amount of time. In 1994, Aksa community became corporate under the name Kazanci Holding and reorganized, achieving its current structure.

Aksa has been the leader of power gen sets market for a long period of time in Turkey and is among Turkey’s largest 200 industrial companies and exporters. Aksa Power Generation has opened one of the largest genset factories in the world in May 2012 in China. Aksa PG has secured its place among the biggest genset companies in global market with its new 100,000m² factory.

We are looking for a“Business Development Manager,” who will work in the Marketing department of Aksa Power Generation for Aksa Turkey Organization in Istanbul.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Residing in Istanbul with no obligate to work at location of Aksa HQ
  • Accepting long-term work as an expat in the regions (CIS region, Africa, America and Asia-Pacific) where we want to increase our market share in the near and medium future,
  • Graduated from bachelor's degree from Engineering faculties, preferably completed a master's degree in Marketing or related divisions,
  • In total at least 8 years experiences, 5 years of it related to the business development industry,
  • Experienced in energy storage systems, batteries or solar projects,
  • Fluent command of English in both written and spoken, speaking Arabic, Russian or French as a second foreign language preferable,
  • Good command in SAP and MS Office,
  • Having high level experience in planning and work follow-up,
  • Skilled in analytical thinking and data analysis,
  • Suitable for teamwork and result-oriented in the projects undertaken,
  • No obstacle for domestic and international travel,
  • No military obligations for male candidates.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Working to bring in new customers by using the most effective communication channels in the market, to carry out business development activities to strengthen relations with existing customers.
  • Determining the short and long term business plan and business development strategies of the company.
  • To collect information about the sector and potential customers, to analyze this information to determine the policy to be followed in business development activities,
  • To ensure that risk-reducing strategies are produced in order to reach the target market share.
  • Preparing and reporting statistical data by conducting sectoral research.
  • To develop the product portfolio by researching new products for existing markets.
  • Developing the product range by proposing new products in line with the dynamics of the sector according to the demands of the marketing and sales teams.
  • Participating in domestic and international fairs, in this way finding potential customers and developing relationships with them.
  • Evaluating product suggestions that will provide advantage in the market and present them to senior management.
  • To present suggestions to Managing Board to turn to the market with the right products and strategies by conducting market research and competitor analysis for the company to enter new markets.
  • To analyze strategically the existing customers work outputs and competition area with the competitors.
  • Developing long-term marketing strategies in coordination with the sales team and to ensure correct communication by determining business development activities.
  • Following the development of the sector closely, collecting and analyzing data about existing and potential markets, conducting and reporting profitability studies.
