Production and Material Planning Engineer

MAIN MISSIONS

In relation to Sales & Export demands, stocks levels and objectives, he/she prepares production plan which guarantees the availability of finished product to ensure the required stock level to satisfy customer demands in respect of lead times and production by cost-effective batch.

• Is responsible for the treatment of delivery orders from their reception (via computer, fax, post…) up until client delivery
• Has task of establishing and anticipating client demands to create a sales plan, which is as close as possible to the real deliveries
• Is responsible for accuracy of sales plan for his / her client portfolio
• Prepare production plan, monitor variation, react in case of problems
• Consider material and human resources, constraints and optimise them
• Must inform Materials Supply and Planning of stock and order anomalies
• Participate in production meeting to gather the information necessary to prepare production planning
• May supervise planning meetings to validate provisional plans and to elaborate solutions in case of difficulties
• Use all tools at his disposal in order to maximize the reliability of Production Order planning
• Must manage indicators linked to his / her function (tables for service rating, client satisfaction questionnaire…)
• Is the guarantor of meeting deadlines for client deliveries
• Must ensure safety stock management- Is in charge of daily follow-ups (modifications, end of life…)
• Follow up performance indicators for this department
• Must participate in stock inventories
• Must apply all the Quality, Environmental and Safety procedures and operating instructions within the framework of operations linked to his/her job and the rules defined by the Group
• Reports to the Logistics Manager

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering departments, preferably Industrial Engineering min 2 years of material or production planning experience (Automotive knowledge is plus).

Professional Abilities:

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• English fluency (both verbal & writing)
• Excellent communication skills
• Able to synthesize, anticipate, take initiative, chair meetings
• Good team player
• Self oriented
• Residing in Anatolian side of Istanbul or Kocaeli

Technical Knowledge:

• Proficiency in MS Office, especially MS Excel
• Proficient in Production Control
• SAP knowledge is an asset
