Alstom is looking for his Bid Manager with the qualifications below:

Required Education and Skills

• Master degree in electric/electronic and mechanical engineering
• Minimum of 5 years of railways industry experience
• 5 years of Bid Management experience
• Bid Cost management experience is a plus
• Bid Management tools knowledge
• Fluent in English
• Ability to solve problems by being collaborative, creative and analytical
• Ability to achieve outcomes with minimal direct supervision
• Good written and oral communications

Purpose of the Job

• Manage accurate and competitive maintenance bids from 10 to several hundred millions Euros according to Alstom tender management process. The bids will cover Rolling stock maintenance, signalling and communication systems maintenance, infrastructure maintenace ( Track, Power supply ) and full turn key maintenance bids

Responsibilities:

• Analyse customer requirements
• Define tender budget
• Set-up tender team
• Define tender schedule and deliverables
• Edit Instructions For Quotation with support from Bid Cost Manager
• Liaise with Marketing to get Market price and with Region to get target price
• Design service strategies with the Tender Leader and the key stakeholders in order to meet the customer expectation and target price
• Get QCD commitment from internal and external entities with the support of Bid Cost Manager
• Challenge and validate the costing
• Act as Cost Manager when needed, e.g. small offer
• Animate and co-ordinate the tender team
• Manage risks and opportunities
• Support Tender Leader in interfacing with Customer
• Ensure tender process compliancy
• Deliver winning tender, on time and within tender budget
• Support hand-over of QCD commitment to project phase, ensure this step is done without impact on overall QCD commitment
• Support the Project Manger of the project team in contract phase in preparing the Work Packages distribution to Work Package Owners
• Contribute to the Win/Loss Analysis
• Manage tender Return of Experience, specifically towards Reference Libraries
• Frequent Travels
