QUALIFICATIONS

ARGELA Technologies; which provides new generation telecommunications solutions and network infrastructure components, for the telecommunications industry; is looking for a “DevOps Automation Engineer” 

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s or higher degree from reputable universities in engineering departments
• Self-motivated, learn new skills quickly with minimal guidance
• Capable of analytical thinking, structural analysis and design.
• Be committed to quality, adhering to project schedules and milestones
• Work in a team environment and be a team player
• A good command in English both verbal and written
• No military obligation for male candidates 

Required technical skills: 

• Advanced scripting skills (Bash, Sed, Grep, Awk, Ansible, Python, etc.)
• Experience with Linux administration, networking and tuning (Ubuntu/Centos/Red Hat etc.)
• Experience in CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Groovy, GitLab, etc.)
•  Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Rancher etc.)
• Experience with at least one programming language (Java, JavaScript, Go Lang, PHP, Python etc.), and Git.
• Experience in SDLC (software development lifecycle) process
• Understanding of networking: topologies and common network protocols and services (DHCP, DNS, HTTP(S), SSH, SNMP, TCP/IP, L2-L7, switch, router etc.)

 Preferred:

o   Experience/knowledge of package management, artifact repositories, versioning and deployment tools (Nexus, Artifactory, Git, GitLab, Make, Maven, apt, rpm, pypi, Docker, Helm,Ansible, Puppet/Chef etc.)

o   Experience/knowledge of Git branching models, Git flows

o   Experience in micro services architecture

o   Knowledge of RDBMS/NqSQL Databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Cassandra,MongoDB, Redis etc.)

o   Knowledge of messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Zookeeper)

o   Experience in IP networks; capturing and analyzing the traffic

Big Plus: 

o   Experience in ETSI NFV (Network Functions Virtualization) related technologies (OpenStack, ONAP, OSM, OPNFV, KVM, Heat, TOSCA etc.)

o   Experience with running scalable, high-available, secure and stable applications on a container orchestration platform (Kubernetes etc.)

o   Knowledge/experience in high-end network performance tuning (DPDK, SR-IOV, NUMA, HugePages etc.) in virtualization/orchestration platforms

o   Experience in contributing to open source project

o   Experience in systems monitoring, alerting and analytics tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix, Nagios, Cacti, Splunk, Datadog, ELK stack etc.)

o    Experience in Test automation frameworks (Robot, Selenium etc.)

o    Knowledge of SDN concepts and protocols (OpenFlow, NetConf, Yang, ONOS etc.)

o    Certificate on Kubernetes/Docker/OpenStack

o    Experience with public clouds (AWS, GCP, Azure etc.)

Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize automation of VNF (Virtual Network Function) package build, deploy (onboarding), test and lifecycle management
•   Develop and optimize automation of build, package, deploy, configure, test and monitor phases for systems/platforms/programs in NFV domain

• Brainstorm for new ideas and ways to improvement development delivery
• Research, development and contribution to virtualization, containerization and orchestration platforms of new generation 5G technology
• Keeping track of progresses in DevOps automation world and updating outputs of NFV & Orchestration group.
• Provide technical guidance and educate team members and co-workers on development and operations
• Writing technical documentation of provided solution
