Welding Engineer

OVERVIEW

We are looking for a Welding Engineer, having the following qualifications to be employed in our company.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

• University degree on Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering
• Having IWE (International Welding Engineer) Certificate
  
• Minimum 2 years experience on welded manufacturing especially on welded manufacturing as per EN norms, ASME codes and marine rules
• Knowledge on ISO 3834-2 standard and its requirements
  
• Knowledge on welding standards
• Good command of English (verbal and written)
  
• Teamwork skills
• Locating in or willing to relocate to Bandırma or Gönen

• Following up the qualification records of welders
• Preparing the welding procedure qualification records (PQR), welding procedure specifications (WPS) and welding performance qualifications (WPQ) according to related manufacturing standards
  
• Planning the required weder / welding operator trainings
• Defining the requirements for welding and welding consumables as per the standards and customer specifications, taking actions if required such as new PQR, WPQ, request for welding consumables etc.
  
• Preparing the welding plans and welding logs as per the standards and customer specifications fort he equipment to be manufactured, transmitting the documents to manufacturing department and following up the documents
• Preparing the production test plates as per the standards and customer specifications and organizing the mechanical testing (defining the mechanical test requirements and reviewing the test reports etc.)
  
• Monitoring the conformance of the Works performed in manufacturing site regularly
• Taking responsibility on improvement processes of welded manufacturing
